Beyonce is covering the May 2013 issue of British Vogue and the 'Queen of Music' is gearing up for her 2013 take over.
On the cover, Bey is wearing a white blue stripe cropped top and a blue sequin pencil skirt with a black elastic waist band from JONATHAN SAUNDERS SPRING 2013 collection. Her body looks so great and I am sure she is a lot of people's inspiration to get their body ready for the summer.
In the issue, she talks about her upcoming tour, "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour" name, her marriage to Jay-z, motherhood, her musical journey and more. The 'Bow Down' signer also talks how she is a ‘modern-day feminist’and is on a mission to empower women.
Her tour has sold out and will kick off on April 15th. Continue below to read some excerpts from her interview. For more details go to Vogue.co.uk and pick up a copy when the issue hits newsstand on April 8th.
On the gruelling preparations for her tours:
"I'm always bruised somewhere - my legs, my hips. But you've already started so you've just gotta fight through it."
On using 'Mrs. Carter' as the name for her world tour:
“I feel like Mrs Carter is who I am, but more bold and more fearless than I’ve ever been. It comes from knowing my purpose and really meeting myself once I saw my child. I was like, OK, this is what you were born to do. The purpose of my body became completely different.”
On equal rights for everyone:
“But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I’m just a woman and I love being a woman. I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it’s something that’s pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept.”
