In 2015, Katie Holmes will be making her directorial debut with 'All We Had' and she is on the February 2015 cover of ELLE Canada. Katie was also named the ambassador of Olay. On the cover, Katie is wearing a ALTUZARRA SPRING 2015 black & white stripe ensemble.
Katie has a hit or miss kinda red carpet look but she looks beautiful on this cover and I like the monochrome styling here. In the issue, she talks about her role on Dawson's Creek, what she's grateful for, if she would give her younger self advice, her directorial debut and more. Continue below to read some excerpts from her interview. For more details, go to ELLECanada.com and pick up a copy when the issue hits newsstand.
On Dawson's Creek:
“I don’t know if I have moved past it, but I don’t really care. I had a ball doing it, and it’s really nice to be a part of something that did affect people. And it created a lot of opportunities for all of us.”
On directing 'All We Had':
“I think that seeing two people on the edge of poverty in America is an important story to tell. It reminded me of Terms of Endearment. It’s a simple story but with two great roles for females.”
On if she would give her younger self advice:
“I’ve always been adventurous, so I wouldn’t tell myself anything. I liked who I was at 20, and I think that you just have to go along for the ride with everything.” I have a lot to be grateful for, so I do count my blessings every day. I really do.”
