Following her ELLE Canada cover release, Katie Holmes is gracing another February 2015 cover, Red UK. On the cover, Katie is smizing in a black sleeveless zip front top. I love her beauty look on this cover which features a wet pulled back hairstyle, sultry smokey eyes and a bare lip which is on trend.
In the issue, she talks about the misconception of herself, her support for all women, her the similarity of her life at 20, beauty and more. For more details, go to Red.co.uk and pick up a copy when the issue hits newsstand on January 2, 2015. Continue below to read the excerpts from her interview.
On the misconception about herself:
"I think that it’s a very interesting time for artists right now because of social media and camera phones. I don’t think you ever know how you’ll be portrayed. Any story can attach itself to your image. I don’t pay much attention because I’d spend the whole time worrying. I just don’t go out much to avoid it.’
On her support for all women:
‘Women are complicated, in a beautiful way, and they have lots of different roles. I’m inspired by the community of women it takes to help one woman succeed. It’s important to be supportive and have people you can call at 3am.’
On who she can call at 3am:
‘I have a group of friends I call, and my sisters. If I’m thinking about my sister, she will end up calling me, it’s weird. Telepathic.’
On the similarity of herself now & at 20:
‘I’m not so different than I was at 20,. I still buy too many jeans…I don’t stay stuck on anything too long. I mean, like, any emotion.’
