Sofia Vergara is gearing up for the release of her new film next month 'Hot Pursuit' and she is the May 2015 cover star of Vanity Fair magazine. On the cover shot by Annie Leibovitz, Sofia is working a burgundy ZAC POSEN off-the-shoulder fitted dress with a white fur wrapped around. Her va-voom look is giving me a little 'Jessica Rabbit'.
Side parted voluminous curls, a red lip and diamond earrings completed her beautiful look. In the issue, she talks about transitioning fro Spanish entertainment to Hollywood, her breasts, her Modern Family character and more. Continue below to read some excerpts from her interview. On transitioning from Spanish entertainment to Hollywood:
“I hired the speech coach, and you have to work so much. It’s exhausting. It’s also boring. And I have a bad ear, you know? I’ve been in this country for 20-something years and I still sound like this . . . So I was going to auditions and the only thing I could focus on was the position of the tongue. I was not acting. And then I thought, If I can’t get a job with my accent, this is not a job for me.”
On if her character 'Gloria' from Modern Family is a stereotype:
“If Gloria is a stereotype, so what? Who wouldn’t want to be Gloria?”
On her breast:
“My boobs are, like, huge. My whole life, buying a bra was a nightmare. What I used to do when I moved to L.A., I found places like Frederick’s of Hollywood that make bras for [strippers]. Believe me, I wish I had fake boobs. I lay down and they completely go down like all the way, like here. It’s not fun.”
