“It made it fun for me but then I watched it and was like ‘That is not what I want to promote about myself. I have a lot of anxiety that I’ve been struggling with my whole life. So I have been working through it. I’m terrified, but this is exactly what I wanted.”
On insecurity as a actor:
“There’s a layer of insecurity that this brings out, of course, but I am trying to throw it away although I can’t, really, because insecurity, a little bit of it, is always important for any actor. These people have been doing this for years and years, so I really feel like an amateur. And I am—at least in this medium, which is like a whole other planet.”
On leaving her dog Finn:
“I just don’t want to leave him anymore. Maybe it’s because I’m subconsciously aware of his mortality. I try not to think about it, but somewhere inside of me, I’m like, He’s going to die way sooner than all the rest of the people I know!”
