Viola Davis on the January 2016 cover of InStyle Magazine

With her big return to TV on the hit show 'How to get Away with Murder' & her big Emmy win in September, Viola Davis career continues to thrive. Who better to kick off the new year as a cover star than Viola on the January 2016 cover of InStyle magazine. On the cover which was shot by Jan Welters, Davis is all smiles wearing a LANVIN SPRING 2016 silver sequin & she panel dress. Her signature natural hair and a smokey eye offset with a light glossy red lip topped off her beautiful cover look. In the issue, Viola talks her love for relaxing, her & her HTGAWM character Annalise Keating style, not feeling like a celebrity and more. Continue below to read some excerpts from her interview. On her love for looking natural:
"What's released me most from the fear of aging is self-awareness. I've never determined my value based on my looks or anything physical. I've been through a lot in life, and what has gotten me through is strength of character and faith."

On her & Annalise Keating style:
"If I were to compare my style to Annalise Keating, I would say that I have absolutely no style. Annalise Keating is an Alexander McQueen, kinda Max Mara girl. That's not me. I have a five year old, so..."

On loving to relax:
"I am addicted to spas. If we go to a hotel, we'll be the only people in that spa for hours. We'll start at 5 in the morning sometimes."

On not feeling like a celebrity:
"I know people always say that I'm a star and a celebrity, but I never feel like one. Taking care of a 5-year-old, cooking at home, and running to the set when you've had four hours of sleep, you don't feel like a movie star. Then, every once in a while, you put something on that makes you feel cute."
