Allison Williams on the March 2017 Cover of Allure Magazine

Last week we saw Allison Williams with dark hair at the 'Girls' final season premiere but for her March 2017 cover for Allure magazine, the actress went blonde. On the cover, she is rocking a printed shirt with platinum blonde locks(wig) courtesy of colorist Aura Friedman. In the issue, she talks her 'Girls' character, her parents not wanting her to act until she finished college, going blonde for the cover and more. Continue below to read some excerpts from Allison's interview. For more on her feature, visit and pick up a copy on newsstand on February 21st.

On her blonde hair for the cover:
I like it!  Especially this blonde—it feels like it is just a new twist on the same old me. It’s just hair! But it’s fun. Maybe I’ll become this gorgeous bombshell vixen," she said. "Or maybe I’ll still just be the adult-spelling-bee spirit I’ve always been. I bet people won’t recognize me, and that’s gonna be a fun reveal with my friends.

On her parents not wanting her to act until she finished college:
I was annoyed at it for, like, a second, but then I kind of leaned into the idea. The summer before my senior year in high school, I was a production assistant [PA] on A Prairie Home Companion, Robert Altman’s last movie, with Meryl Streep and Kevin Kline. It rocked my whole world.

On her life:
I don’t want to be any more interesting than I am. I love the life that I get to live, which is one of real independence and privacy and autonomy. And I get to experience the city in a way that—if I may name-drop for a second—someone like Katy Perry, who’s a really good friend, doesn’t get to. She doesn’t get to do what we just did. That’s not a universe she can experience anymore.
