Halima Aden on the July 2017 Cover of Allure Magazine

Accepting people from different nationalities is a huge problem for some people to gasp in this world but thankfully their are people like me who don't share the same feeling. Muslim model Halima Aden is making waves in the fashion world and she is also the July 2017 cover star of Allure magazine. On the cover which was shot by Solve Sundsbo, Halima looks beautiful waring a TOMMY HILFIGER COLLECTION viscose nylon top and a NIKE hijab. In the issue, she talks being bullied, fashion, the right to chose to wear her hijab and more. Continue below to read some excerpts from her interview and to see images from her beauty spread. On the option muslim women have to cover their heads:
It’s how I interpret my religion but there are women who are Muslim who choose not to wear the hijab. That’s something people often forget. Society puts so much pressure on girls to look a certain way. I have much more to offer than my physical appearance, and a hijab protects me against ‘You’re too skinny,’ ‘You’re too thick,’ ‘Look at her hips,’ ‘Look at her thigh gap.’ I don’t have to worry about that.

On being bullied:
I had friends who weren’t wearing it, and they went through bullying, too. It was a tough time — everyone just wanted to be mean. If you think people are against you and that you’re a target, things will start appearing that way. I just go about my day, and I don’t think anyone is out to get me.
