Adwoa Aboah on the December 2017 Cover of British Vogue Magazine

Adwoa Aboah has left her mark in fashion and she is definitely one of the top females on the runway. What the amazing Edward Enninful at the helm, Adwoa is the December 2017 cover star of British Vogue magazine. On the cover which was shot by Steven Meisel, Adwoa is wearing MARC JACOBS SPRING 2018. In the issue, she talks activism in fashion, being on the cover and being black & British. Continue below to read some excerpts from her interview. On being on the cover:
Being on this cover is the biggest thing that’s happened in my career

On being black & British in 2017:
One hundred per cent empowering and fabulous. I love being a mixed-race woman in 2017. I feel part of something big. There’s this understanding that we’re all in it together.

On her 'Gurls Talk' initiative:
There is this newfound love and space for activism within fashion. I never would have dreamt in a million years that I would have young girls coming up to me at Glastonbury or on the streets of LA, New York, London, and telling me how much Gurls Talk or seeing my picture in a magazine means to them, as a woman of colour.
