2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards - Day 1

On Saturday(September 9th) the 2017 Creative Arts Emmy Awards - Day 1 took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. 

Julianne Hough wore a RAMI AL ALI SPRING 2016 COUTURE pink strapless floor length dress with an asymmetrical, pleated top. For an added pop of color, she accessorized with DVANI burgundy stone jewelry and a burgundy velvet JIMMY CHOO clutch. Smokey eyes offset with a matte pink lip and side swept, light waves finished up her look. 

Common walked away a winner wearing a VALENTINO two-piece suit styled with a white button down shirt, a navy tie, shiny dress shoes and a FRED LEIGHTON brooch. 

Jenna Dewan wore a navy CAROLINA HERRERA FALL 2017 floor length dress with a pleated organza & sequin v-neck top and a layered tulle skirt. A side parted up-do and navy smokey eyes finished up her look.

Common in Givenchy at the 10th Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards

Yesterday evening(February 23rd) Common attended the 10th annual Essence Black Women in Hollywood at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

The rapper/actor looked smooth as can be wearing a GIVENCHY FALL 2016 brown & orange stripe suit styled with the matching button down shirt and shiny dress shoes. 

Although it is hard to see, Common's pants features an on trend fringe waist which looks odd. I really like the way the suit was presented on the runway but the fringe detail & skirt is a bit too much. However he is a handsome guy regardless. What do you think of Common's striped look?

23rd Screen Actors Guild Awards Men's

Along with Mahershala Ali, the men brought their talents to the red carpet on Sunday(January 29th) for the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. To see all of the red carpet looks from the event, click HERE and continue below for the men's wrap-up. 

Ashton Kutcher started the show with a great speech wearing a classic DOLCE & GABBANA black two-piece tuxedo which was styled simply with a white button down shirt, a black bow tie and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN shoes. 

Rami Malek was definitely one of the top best dressed men wearing a DIOR HOMME SPRING 2017  black & white printed suit with contrasting red stitching. Rami said on the carpet that when he first saw this suit on the runway at the show in which he attended, he knew that he was going to wear it.

Common also went the classic route wearing a PRADA two-piece tuxedo styled simply with a white button down shirt, a black bow tie, black dress shoes and FRED LEIGHTON jewelry.

The Harmonist 69th Cannes Film Festival Cocktail Party

Last nigh(May 16th) some celebs hit the black carpet at The Harmonist cocktail party during the 69th Cannes Film Festival at Martinez Beach in Cannes, France. At The Harmonist new maison de parfum party, Jason Derulo and Martin Solveig were on hand as performers. 

Kate Hudson wore a custom ROBERTO CAVALLI COUTURE powder blue knit bodysuit featuring a sequin and pearl embroidery matching chiffon maxi skirt. I kinda wish the hair was off-the-shoulder but I still like her look. BRIAN ATWOOD heels and a ATELIER SWARVOSKI clutch and jewelry topped off her look. 

Common was looked great in a classic PRADA black two-piece tuxedo styled simply with white button down shirt, a black bow tie and black shiny shoes. 

Karolina Kurkova wore a black GEORGES HOBEIKA SPRING 2016 halter dress with a beaded cut-out top. Instead of going with a colored lip, Karolina opted for a smokey eye. BULGARI jewelry, a small clutch and sleek off-the-shoulder hairstyle topped off her look. 

Heidi Klum wore a metallic SAINT LAURENT SPRING 2016 center front split dress. This dress is not working for me on Heidi and the hair & make-up doesn't compliment her look.

2016 Academy Awards Men's

While the women undoubtedly always gets the most attention on the carpet, the men tend to make some noise. Check out some of the men's looks from the 2016 Academy Awards which was held at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA. You can see all of the looks HERE.

Common was on hand as a presenter and he kept things interesting wearing white DOLCE & GABBANA three-piece tuxedo styled with a black bow tie, a white shirt and black shiny shoes. I am not too crazy about the look of the pants but I appreciate the unexpected white.

Jared Leto never fails to disappoint as he looked fresh in a custom GUCCI black notch lapel two button Heritage evening suit with red contrast piping, a black evening shirt, red silk flower & black velvet evening slippers with a crystal snake detail.

Eddie Redmayne doesn't use a stylist but instead he says he just wears whatever the designers give him. He stepped out in a black ALEXANDER MCQUEEN black suit which featured a velvet satin lapel jacket. A simple but classic look.
