2018 Soul Train Awards

On Saturday(November 17th) the 2018 Soul Train Awards took place at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Erykah Badu who was on hand as a performer & honoree, wore an interesting piece courtesy of RICK OWENS. Her SPRING 2019 piece featured a geometric cutout cape & dress and metal headpiece. The only other person that can do this is Lady Gaga but Erykah owns it. 

Normani stepped out in a RAISA & VANESSA FALL 2018 black ruffle mini dress. This dress is really cute and short but the fit on the bust is unflattering.

Larsen Thompson in Each x Other at the Nylon Young Hollywood event

While we don't see Larsen Thompson on the red carpet often, she does know how to rock stylish look. She was on the red carpet yesterday evening(May 22nd) for the Nylon Young Hollywood event at Avenue in LA. 

She rocked a victorian inspired mini dress from the EACH X OTHER SPRING 2018 collection. I love the sleeves on this dress and the corset overlay. However my only quibble is her shoe choice. 

Her NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD pumps are cute but are a safe choice. I think she should have gone with a style along the lines of the Valentino Rockstud pumps or the Louboutin 'Nosy' pumps.  However the dress does look great with the sneakers on the runway. What do you think of Larsen's look?
