2019 Creative Arts Emmy Awards Day 1

On Saturday(September 14th) the 2019 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place at the Microsoft Theater in LA. 

Angela Bassett was a golden, disco goddess and I am here for it. She wore a sequin INGIE PARIS SPRING 2020 center front split, v-neck dress. I am missing the belt and I would swap out those platform CASADEI sandals for a simpler style. Still beautiful though.

Instagram Style: Joey King in The Vampire's Wife and Ralph & Russo Promoting 'The Act'

Joey King has been hard at work promoting her new Hulu series 'The Act' and she has been serving style in the process. The young starlet stepped out for two more promotional outings, which her stylist Jared Eng posted to instagram. 

1st Look: 

The actress look chic wearing THE VAMPIRE'S WIFE 'The Birthday Party' multi hued, floral fil coupé dress. She dressed up her look perfectly WOLFORD tights and CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN pumps. An EMM KUO clutch, ANITA KO earrings, HIROTAKA earcuffs rounded out her look.

2nd Look: 

For an appearance on the Ellen Show, she took on the pajama trend wearing a RALPH & RUSSO snow striped blouse and matching trousers. Her look was accessorized with BORGIONI earrings, a HUNTING SEASON shoulder bag an STELLA LUNA sandals. What I love about this look, is that it has the pajama look without actually looking like pajamas.

I would say that Joey is two for two here, don't you agree?

Hailee Steinfeld & Angela Bassett at the 'Bumblebee' LA Premiere

Continuing on the promo tour, Hailee Steinfeld who was joined by Angela Bassett, attended the premiere of 'Bumblebee' at the TCL Chinese Theatre yesterday evening(December 9th) in Hollywood, California.

Hailee Steinfeld got leggy in a BALMAIN SPRING 2019 long sleeve black & white grid pattern mini dress, featuring the brands signature padded shoulders. You might remember that Hailee wore a different dress from the brand last week to the film's Berlin premiere but I prefer this piece. However the silhouette is familiar but she still looks great. 

Angela Bassett worked her ALBERTA FERRETTI FALL 2018 LIMITED EDITION COUTURE color-block fringe dress on the carpet. She looks great in this dress and the color is fantastic against her skin but I am sure this dress has better impact while movement. She finished up with HEARTS OF FIRE jewelry, a EMM KUO clutch, CASADEI sandals and complimentary beauty look.

Alexis Bledel in J. Mendel at the 29th GLAAD Media NY Awards

Yesterday evening(May 5th) Alexis Bledel was a presenter at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards at The Hilton Midtown in New York City.

She turned to her go to designer brand, J. MENDEL wearing a SPRING 2018 sapphire flutter sleeve metallic velvet gown. Alexis had her dress shorten from the look book version and she also removed the the contrasting black belt. 

While the black belt works in the look book, I think on Alexis version, it works perfectly without it.  Loving the metallic & velvet combo and the dress was altered a little to suit her style. An EMM KUO clutch, NADINE AYSOY jewelry, NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD 'Zaha' sandals, a slick, side parted up-do and fuchsia lips finished up her look. Are you missing the black belt?

Malin Akerman was on hand for the premiere of  'Rampage' yesterday evening(April 4th) at The Microsoft Theater in LA. 

Rocking an all black look, she wore a JOHANNA ORTIZ RESORT 2018 ruffle one-shoulder dress with a cutout waist, a tier skirt and a high-low hem detail. Malin's dress is a signature look by the designers which celebs seems to love. 

While do like the dress, I wish her hair was off-the-shoulder and a simple embellished black sandal would have been ideal here. She finished up with minimal make-up and the EMM KUO 'Guggenheim' clutch. What do you think of the styling of Malin's look?

Janelle Monae usually sticks to her signature hue of black with a little white but every now & then she gives us a little color. She was on hand for the premiere of 'A Wrinkle In Time' at the El Capitan Theatre yesterday(February 26th) in LA.

She rocked a bold fuchsia WOLK MORAIS SPRING 2018 three piece suit. On the runway, Janelle's suit was teamed with a black button down shirt but I am glad that she opted for white with the black tie.

It just makes a chicer statement and her look pops more. Accessorized with an EMM KUO clutch, a SAINT GERMAINE hat and white ASOS boots, she finished up with a matching fuchsia lip.

Following her attendance at the BET awards, Jada Pinkett Smith jetted here to New York to present at the 2017 NBA Awards last night(June 26th) at Basketball City at Pier 36. 

For the occasion, she wore a SOPHIE THEALLET SPRING 2017 sleeveless sheer gold metallic lace & black dress with feathered neck detail. In the look book, the dress stops just about the ankles on the model but grazes the floor on Jada. 

However the length works nicely for Jada's height. Beauty wise, she went with an complimentary up-do and matching smokey eye offset with a glossy lip. The EMM KUO 'Joa' resin clutch finished up her look.

Along with Emma Stone, Cara Santana attended the 32nd Santa Barbara International Film Festival - Outstanding Performers of the Year Award honoring Emma Stone & Ryan Gosling which was presented by Belvedere Vodka, at the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA.

For the occasion, she wore a HALSTON HERITAGE grey satin slip dress which featured a modern racer cut top and a sash with a multi-needle stitching detail. Love the look of the dress in the look book but unfortunately on Cara, those annoying creases on the skirt took center stage. 

Also instead of going with a colored lip, she wore sky blue satin pumps with a bow detail in the back. I think she should have went with a complimentary dark red lip color and opted for silver ankle strap sandals. An EMM KUO clutch, a center part ponytail and smokey eyes finished up her look. Earlier today(January 23rd) Rhea Costa attended the 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards 'Greet the Actor' at The Grove in LA.

Even though there is a little too much cleavage showing and I kinda miss the belt, I love this jumpsuit. It's actually available in 12 colors and I think the color works for her as well. It's always a joy to see Teyonah Parris on the red carpet because I love how she owns her look. On Friday(February 5th) she attended the 47th NAACP Image Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA. 

The actress was beautiful in a ROMONA KEVEZA FALL 2014 long sleeve Onyx gown with black sheer illusion neckline, a metallic gold thread linen bodice, a mirrored gold waistband and a black silk-crepe fluted shape skirt.
