Nina Dobrev Unveils her "got milk" Ad & Launches "Like Her, Like Me" Campaign with Mom

On yesterday evening I attended the unveiling for "The Vampire Dairies" star Nina Dobrev "Got Milk" ad campaign with her mother at the Hearst Towers. Also it was the launch of the "Like Her, Like Me" program which celebrates the special moments with mothers and daughters and the power of positive influence with Seventeen Magazine. Guest's sipped on milk and ate different kinds of cereal and treats. It was really fun for the young tweens that attended. Nina hit the white carpet wearing a neon pink GABRIELA CADENA SPRING 2012 mini with a plunging V-neckline, satin fold detailing and ruffled detail on the shoulder. Long loose waves, the JIMMY CHOO "Tema" sandals, smokey eyes and glossy lips completed her look. Nina has already worn pieces from this designer on several different occasions recently so it is safe to say, she is a fan. I thought she looked great and I like the color.

Nina and her mother's "Got Milk" Ad Campaign

So together with Seventeen magazine, Nina and her mom are on the search for three mother-daughter teams who represents what it means to be a role model in each other's life. The winners will get to experience what it is like to be a "got milk?" celebrity when they pose together in a campaign with a milk mustache to be featured in Seventeen magazine in the Fall. Nina and her mother talked to the daughters and mothers attendees at the event and engaged in activities with them. I had a chance to chat with Nina, continue below to see what she had to say about her mom, the campaign and her gorgeous gown at the MET Gala. Also see more images from the event.

June Ambrose for Selima Optique Sunglasses Launch Party

Last night I hit up the June Ambrose for SELIMA OPTIQUE launch party at The Standard Hotel in Le Bain. June looked gorgeous of course rocking a long sleeve silk THEYSKENS THEORY embroidered iridescent sequin drop waist dress with a peplum hem. She paired her beautiful dress with mauve CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA platform ankle strap pumps, a MARC JACOBS clutch, long curly locks and glasses that she designed from her collaboration with Selima. Celebrity Stylist Ty Hunter, Chef Roble and publicist Marvet Britto were in attendance to celebrate with June. I got a chance to chat with June about the collaboration, upcoming projects and of course her new reality show Styled by June which comes on VH1 on Mondays at 9pm. If you like June's dress like I do, you can get it here at Theory.com for $1,265.

Me and June Ambrose

TFS: Did you design the glasses for the line? and What was your inspiration?
June Ambrose: Yes....I was very inspired by the 70's and that kinda retro glam. These particular pair that I am wearing tonight were inspired and named after my daughter Summer. They reminded me of windshields(laughs), so that inspired. The ones that are named after my son, Chance, are very retro, kinda quirky, geek chic because he wears glasses so they are inspired by him and classic retroness. The other pair, which are called the HiBrow, we wanted to glamaflage the geekster. I was inspired by high eyebrows. That's what those frames are and I wanted to incorporate a floating pair of glasses on the bridge.

SEE Eyewear Boutique Opening

I had the opportunity to attend the grand opening of the SEE Eyewear boutique in Soho here in NYC. Guest sipped on cocktails, ate hors d'oeuvres and cupcakes as we browsed around the boutique trying on chic and stylish eyewear. These sunglasses definitely have a retro & vintage look and come in a array of hot colors & frames. What I love about SEE is the fact that you know you are wearing something that is exclusive. They have twenty-six stores and only make seventy-five pairs of each sunglasses that they sell and divide them up amongst each store. So you know that you are getting a one-of-kind piece and not many people will have them. SEE is also the largest optical boutique retailer in the U.S. Their sunglasses start at $99 to $299 and for me that is great pricing. SEE was founded by Richard and Shelley Golden and they set out to create a luxury brand for fashionista's who wanted original and trendy eyewear without breaking the bank. All guests walked away with a pair of their choice and I love them.

I do love these transparent red glasses that retail $269. You can also get your frames in prescription form if desired. SEE boutique also has their own independent Doctor of Optometry on site at all of their stores except in California so you can get your exam. To find out more about the brand and for store locations, along with pricing, go to http://www.seeeyewear.com/.

Step Into Sexy by Avon Fragrance Launch Party

Last night I attended the launch for AVON'S new fragrance, "Step Into Sexy". Activist and supermodel Christy Turlington is the face of the fragrance and she was on hand at the event. She wore a black STELLA MCCARTNEY FALL 2011 dress and she was gorgeous. I had the opportunity to talk to Christy about the new scent and she said "how she love the fact that is it so clean & light and not over powering". She also joked about how she can see her daughter taking it from her and wearing it. I agree with Christy, the scent is very light and has very fresh scent. Black raspberry, spring freesia flower and violet leaf make up the top notes. Rosewood and orchids make up the mid notes while the base notes contains creamy cashmeran, orris root and amber. In all the fragrance takes you on a oriental floral express and is for the sensual woman. I love it because what woman doesn't want to "step into her sexy"? A 1.7fl oz will sell for $28 and  will be available November 2011 exclusively through a Avon representative or you can purchase it at www.avon.com.

Lacoste La Machine L.12.12 Fragrance Launch Party

On Monday night, I attended the launch party of LACOSTE new men's fragrance at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station. It was a lavish event that featured a performance by Grand Master Flash, some Lacoste dancers, cocktails and more. The fragrance collection,  EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 BLANC, BLEU AND VERT, catapults the brand to the next level as they transform their signature polo shirt into a trio of clean, fresh and timeless scents. The whole idea is to bring to life the spirit of the Lacoste L12.12 shirt but in a fragrance. Each fragrance delivers a masculine, crisp feeling but in three moods. At the event onlookers were able to watch this transformation on the "La Machine". It was simple but amazing.

Wacoal Cocktail and Fitting Event

So recently I had the opportunity to attend a cocktail and fitting event for WACOAL FALL 2011 collection and I became a huge fan of their bras. Every other women in America is presently walking around in bra that is the wrong fit. Wacoal's team personally fit each person in a bra that was fitting for their bust size. I knew my bra size but if you are anything like me, then you know I was wearing the wrong size however I made it work for me. Wacoal's Fall collection comes in an array styles like the Feather Embroidery Full Coverage Underwire bra that provides a great shape and adjusts to your body for a perfect fit and the Opulence Underwire Average Bra in a sexy lace applique with a low center that offers support along with comfort and a coordinating bikini panty. For me, I walked away with the Petite Embrace Lace Push-up bra. This bra was fitted on me and I have to say that I really love it. Below is the image of the bra and how it looks on me.

The push-up cups gives you a beautiful and clean lift with adjustable straps that has a smooth and flattering finish. The embroidered lace on wings detail that's around the back, side and center front of the bra, offers up a nice, sexy look. I never knew bras came in a "petite" fit so that really intrigued me. So if you are small in the bust area like me, then this is the perfect bra for you. One thing that I learned from the team at Wacoal is that your body porportion determines how the bra will sit on you. This is why we have to make sure that we are getting the right bra size and style. Also If you are a fashionista who likes to look, feel and be sexy in a fabulous bra, then you should check out b'tempt'd bras by WACOAL. This is a flirty collection for women who wants to feel young. To shop WACOAL'S entire collection and to find out more about their bras including prices, click here.

Rachel Zoe Comes to Saks Fifth Avenue

Last night I attended a private event at SAKS FIFTH AVE. in the SNAKS CAFE in their NYC store to celebrate the arrival of the RACHEL ZOE collection to the store. The collection is every bit of Rachel's unique and personal style. The celebrity stylist and designer arrived at the event with her husband wearing a printed blue tie neck blouson maxi dress from her Resort collection that she paired with a leather jacket. The collection was full of volume and movement with shoes that are chunky and high like Rachel likes it. I have already seen the collection before it's actual debut in stores but I still was blown away by some of the styles.

Two of my favorite pieces was the black tuxedo jacket dress and the "Peggy" sequin dress in brown and gold that was on display at the event which you will see in the pics below. I personally really like Rachel's collection and I am glad it is based off of her personal style. Continue to see more images from the collection and tell me what you think?
