Gabourey Sidibe in Ofuure at the 48th NAACP Image Awards

Yesterday evening(February 11th) Gabourey Sidibe hit the red carpet at the 48th NAACP Image Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California.

The 'Empire' actress wore a custom OFUURE mustard yellow, purple and black African printed floor length dress which was nipped in at the waist and also featured a key hole detail and side pockets which she utilized. 

I love the print of this dress and I think it worked well against her skin but I am going to say no to the hair. I think it competes with the bold, colored print and something sleeker & on the simpler side would have been ideal. What do you think of Gabourey's look?

'Empire' FYC ATAS Event Wrap-up

Joining Taraji P. Henson, Serayah, Gabourey Sidibe and Grace Gealey hit the red carpet at the 'Empire' FYC ATAS Event on Friday(May 20th) at the Zanuck Theater in 20th Century Fox Lot in Los Angeles. 

Serayah who was also at the Billboards awards, looked great in a DSQUARED2 blue two-piece suit styled with a simple white tee underneath. An EDIE PARKER clutch, STUART WEITZMAN 'Nudist' sandals and center part curls topped off her look. 

Gabourey Sidibe wore a sleeveless white, black, pink and coral stripe dress which she layered with a basic white cardigan. A black clutch & sandals, a gold necklace and a smokey eye offset with a colored lip topped off her look. 

Grace Gealey showed some leg in a CYNTHIA ROWLEY black long sleeve mesh embroidered mini dress styled with an JIMMY CHOO clutch & sandals. Her signature short cut and light make-up finished up her look.

Serayah, Gabourey Sidibe & Grace Gealey at the Empire 33rd Annual PaleyFest LA Screening

On Friday(March 11th) Serayah, Gabourey Sidibe and Grace Healey attended the Empire series screening during the 33rd Annual PaleyFest LA at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, CA. 

Serayah wore a strapless black CUSHNIE ET OCHS high split dress which she styled with red NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD sandals. While I like the idea of a colored sandals, it's the style that doesn't work for me. A ankle strap style would have been ideal here because these just look bad with this dress. A TARA HIRSBERG gold choker, RACHEL MEIS jewelry, a red lip and a top knot completed her look. 

Gabourey Sidibe wore a red MELISSA MASSE cape sleeve dress. Someone commented on a post that she was featured in saying that she should get custom shoes and now I am inclined to agree. Her red pumps which are from LONG TALL SALLY, looks a bit ill-fitting. Also I think a sandal would have worked better. Love her twist though and confidence.  

Grace Gealey was my favorite here because she looked lovely in this CRISTALLINI RESORT 2016 cobalt blue drape one-shoulder jumpsuit which she styled with ZARA sandals and a KOTUR clutch. Her signature short hair and a berry lip color topped off her look.

Janelle Monae, Monica Brown, Toni Braxton & Gabourey Sidibe at the 2016 BET Honors

On Saturday(March 5th) the 2016 BET Honors took place at The Warner Theater in Washington, DC where notables like Janelle Monae, Monica Brown, Toni Braxton and Gabourey Sidibe were in attendance. 

Janelle Monae sticked with her signature colors of course wearing a ARMANI black velvet two-piece suit which she styled with a white button down shirt, a black tie and SAINT LAURENT black & white toe cap pumps. Pops of color came via her signature red lip, red flower brooch and RODO clutch. Natural curls topped off her masculine inspired look. 

Monica Brown wore a DENNIS BASSO FALL 2015 gown which featured a silver & gold ombre lame short sleeve top and a floral jacquard ball gown skirt. She went with a layered colored eye shadow, a glossy nude lip and straight off-the-shoulder tresses.

Isla Fisher, Gabourey Sidibe & Annabelle Wallis at the 'Grimsby' London Premiere

Yesterday evening Isla Fisher, Gabourey Sidibe and Annabelle Wallis hit the red carpet at the premiere of 'Grimsby' at Odeon Cinema in London. 

Isla Fisher wore an EMANUEL UNGARO dark teal gown with contrasting black lace panels and a v-neck back. An up-do or a off-the-shoulder hairstyle would have complimented her detailed top on her gown. The ROGER VIVIER Maxi Boite de Nuit clutch and silver earrings completed her look. 

Gabourey Sidibe wore a black v-neck maxi dress with a beaded red metallic detailed skirt. I think this is a great look for the 'Empire' actress. A black pashmina, clutch & pumps, layered tresses and a purple eye-shadow offset with a red colored lip topped off her look. 

Annabelle Wallis wore a black leather and lace underlay VALENTINO halter studded dress with a gold hardware neck strap and a fringe hem. Beauty wise, she went with center part straight tresses and a light pink lip. A off-the-shoulder hairstyle would have worked here as well. ARA VARTANIAN jewelry and CASADEI black sandals completed her look.

Grace Gealey of the hit TV show 'Empire' wore a sleeveless lavender sheer beaded v-neck tulle dress with a matching lavender belt for a cinched. Her dress which was by ZIAD NAKAD looked great on her. JIMMY CHOO silver sandals topped off her look. 

Viola Davis wore a custom white beaded ST. JOHN'S dress with a short train detail. Beauty wise, she went with a side parted short layered cut and a magenta lip which was offset with a kohl rimmed, smokey eye. EFFY jewelry finished up her look.
