Solange Knowles keeps a very low profile and she is rarely seen on the carpet. However on Friday(February 28th) she hit the red carpet at her Lena Horne Prize for Artists Creating Social Impact awards ceremony at The Town Hall Theater in New York. 

For the occasion, she wore a black mock-neck, cutout cady jumpsuit with mirror circle embellished long sleeves from the DAVID KOMA SPRING 2019 collection. One thing about Solange is that she almost always takes fashion risk. 

The top definitely adds an unique, sultry flair to the overall jumpsuit which is right up her style alley. A simple but flawless beauty look, silver jewelry and RENE CAOVILLA sandals put the finishing touches on her look.

Solange Knowles in Shanel & Y/Project at the 70th Parsons Benefit

Last night(May 21st) Solange Knowles was honored at the 70th Annual Parsons Benefit which was held at the school in New York.

Solo is known for rocking unknown designers along with hard to wear pieces which are the reasons she has become a style favorite. She wore a SHANEL SPRING 2018 black detachable structured sleeves & a tie-around bandeau and Y/PROJECT SPRING 2018 slashed high-waist trousers. 

I absolutely love this look on Solo. It's sexy & edgy which aligns with her style. However the bandeau looks ill-fitting and in some of her images, her back was turned to the cameras so that she can fix it. A center part up-do,  smokey eyes, JENNIFER FISHER jewelry and a black TELFAR top handle bag finished up her look.

No matter where she is going, Solange always takes fashion risk. She attended the 2018 MET Gala, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination on Sunday(May 7th) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. 

The singer wore a IRIS VAN HERPEN FALL 2012 COUTURE strapless black patent leather structured, asymmetrical dress which was teamed with thigh-high boots and a lantern bag. 

While most people metal halo pieces, Solo opted for a piece that was made out of actual hair along with a durag. I wear durag's all the time and she just made my night with this. The singer skated on the carpet wearing head to toe THOM BROWNE FALL 2017 which featured a black down coat with a train detail, a white shirt dress and black leather ice skating oxfords.

Picking up her first award from the academy, Solange Knowles is walking away a winner this evening(February 12th) from the 59th annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in LA. She won Best R&B Performance for 'Cranes in the Sky'.
