2017 Elle Women in Hollywood Awards Wrap-up

Last night(October 16th) the 2017 Elle Women in Hollywood awards took place at the Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, CA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up. 

Reese Witherspoon wore a black long sleeve CALVIN KLEIN jacquard embroidered dress which she styled with IRENE NEUWIRTH jewelry and LOUBOUTIN sandals. The cutout, tie detail shoulders is what keeps her look somewhat interesting.

Jessica Chastain was also in CALVIN KLEIN which featured a white button down shirt and a red-orange patent leather retro flare skirt. This is not a wow moment but she does look great. 

Laura Dern looked great as well wearing a soft mint CALVIN KLEIN dress with a v-neckline and  crisscross, cutout sequin straps in the back. The orange sandals added a complimentary pop of color to her look.

On hand as a honoree, Tessa Thompson hit the grey carpet for the 2017 Elle Women in Hollywood awards last night(October 16th) at the Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Hills in Beverly Hills, CA.

For the occasion, she wore a CALVIN KLEING FALL 2017 mixed media, embellished dress which she accessorized with YAEL SONIA earrings, JOHN HARDY rings, a EDIE PARKER and NICHOLAS KIRKWOOD sandals.

Felicity Jones wore a sleeveless burgundy velvet CHRISTIAN DIOR dress with a tie shoulder detail and a short train. The dress features some unfortunate creases but I thought she sold the look. One of her best looks since the McQueen.

Aja Naomi King wore a TONI MATICEVSKI RESORT 2017 ensemble which featured a black sheer long sleeve black blouse and a white skirt. Aja looks cute but a simple ankle strap sandal would have been ideal over the LOUBOUTIN pumps.

Dakota Fanning wore a custom MIU MIU pale yellow embellished knee length dress. I don't think this color works for but I feel like I have seen this Miu Miu dress a lot on the carpet. Straight tresses and yellow tie-around sandals finished up her look.

Yesterday evening(October 24th) Amy Adams hit the green at the 2016 annual ELLE Women in Hollywood awards at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverley Hills. 

Working an all black look, she wore a LANVIN SPRING 2017 black lace panel sheer chiffon dress with a belted crossover skirt. Amy's dress was presented unlined on the runway but she lined her dress for the awards and it doesn't work for me. 

I know the sheer & lingerie trend is being overdone but I think on this occasion, the runway version looks much better. I don't think she could have pulled it off so maybe she should have passed on this piece. Hair looks great as always. Did Amy sell you on the lined version?
