Whether it pays off or not, Zazie Beetz is a fashion risk taker and she is slowly but surely making her presence known on the carpet. The actress was on hand for the 35th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, CA this afternoon(February 8th).

RODARTE pieces are difficult for some to transition from the runway to the red carpet but I think that Zazie chose a piece that suits her style palette. Her FALL 2019 white and red heart printed dress featured a ruched bodice and one ruffle long sleeve.

Greta Gerwig was all smiles while posing on the blue carpet this afternoon(February 8th) for the 35th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, CA.

PRADA was her designer brand of choice for the event but I can't say that I am feeling her look. Her multi-printed RESORT 2020 collard dress is not flattering on her at all. 

Maybe she should have belted the waist but in general, this dress feels to casual for the occasion. Also those shoes are just hideous. They are way to heavy for this dress, a simple ankle strap pump or sandal would have been ideal.

I think when it comes down to her style, she tends to do very well in suits. This look is definitely not it. What do you think of Greta's look?

On hand as a nominee, Scarlett Johansson hit the blue carpet this afternoon(February 8th) for the 35th Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, CA.

For the occasion, she chose a BALMAIN white and black sequin polka dot midi dress with a fold detail, embellished neckline. In the look book, the dress was shown in a mini version but I while I like Scarlett's longer version, I actually wish it hit the knee. 

On the beauty end, she kept things simple with a light make-up and center part medium tresses. This doesn't scream wow but her look works for the occasion. HANUT SINGH earrings and black ankle strap pumps finished up her look.
