The Light Between Oceans 73rd Venice Film Festival Premiere Wrap-up

Alicia Vikander and more hit the red carpet at The Light Between Oceans premiere at Sala Grande during the 73rd Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy this evening(September 1st).

Chiara Mastroianni wore a GUCCI FALL 2016 black two-piece suit which featured a fringe blazer and the matching trousers. Chiara's suit from the menswear collection and it is was teamed with a white ruffled top and black loafers which are also by Gucci.

Eleonora Carisi who was also at the opening ceremony yesterday, wore a ALBERTA FERRETTI strapless buttery yellow tier tulle ruffled gown with a burgundy velvet contrasting tie waist. You can see a very detailed look of Eleonora's dress from the back via the designer's instagram. I kinda wish the hair was in a sleek up-do but this gown stands out.

Moon Sori  who is one of this year's jurors, took a tumble on the carpet but she got back up and worked her look. She wore a green satin gown with a draped train detail in the back. Although her gown looks strapless, it actually features a sheer nude illusion yoke. Zhao glammed up her look with an retro appeal via her side parted waves and a beaded pearl necklace. I am not sold on the quality of the dress and I wish she opted for a smaller detailed clutch.

La La Land Premiere & the 73rd Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony Wrap-up

The  73rd Venice Film Festival kicked off today(August 31st) in Venice, Italy with the premiere of La La Land and the opening ceremony. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up. 

Anna Safroncik stood out because of her vibrant yellow ALBERTA FERRETTI chiffon layered maxi dress with a draped train detail in the back and a contrasting black waistband. A black clutch, CRIVELLI jewelry, a complimentary up-do and a smokey eye finished up her look. 

Eleonora Carisi wore a white long sleeve embroidered ASHI STUDIO FALL 2016 COUTURE dress with a pleated hi lo hem, a v-neckline and a open-back. I really do like this dress, one of my favorites from this collection. However I wish she went with a silver strappy sandals and the hair was sleeker. Also her star tattoos are a tad distracting. 

Zhao Wei wore a VALENTINO FALL 2016 COUTURE black long sleeve gown with white contrasting shoulder panels. I thought the Chinese actress looked beautiful but I wish the hair was in a sleek up-do.

Valentina Lodovini in Stella McCartney at the 73rd Venice Film Festival

On hand as a juror member, Italian actress Valentina Lodovini was spotted ahead and on the first day of the 73rd Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy. For her appearances, she wore STELLA MCCARTNEY for the most part. 

For her arrival ahead of the festival on yesterday(August 30th), she wore a black & cobalt blue roll sleeve shirt with the matching pants. A pop of color came via her mustard-yellow chain detail bag which is also by STELLA MCCARTNEY. Even though sandals would have been a nice choice over her FERRAGAMO black pumps, I still really like this statement look. 

Earlier today(August 31st) she attended the juror photocall in a sky blue two-piece suit with a black & sky blue trim long sleeve top underneath. Her black & colorful panel cut-out pumps kept her smart suit interesting. 

For the La La Land premiere & opening ceremony, she wore a sleek white v-neck floor length dress which was given an masculine touch via her white blazer. She dressed up her look with a pink box clutch and CRIVELLI jewelry.

Barbara Palvin in Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini at the 73rd Venice Film Festival

Barbara Palvin was spotted arriving at the 73rd Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy and the model/actress stepped out in three different PHILOSOPHY DI LORENZO SERAFINI dresses. 

For her arrival early yesterday(August 30th) she wore a PRE-FALL 2016 long sleeve white lace midi ruffle panel dress with a contrasting black & white pearl detail waistband. She also accessorized the designers black 'Melody' bucket bag and ankle strap pumps. I definitely would have preferred sandals with this dress over the pumps but she looked great otherwise. 

Later on that same day, she slipped into another PRE-FALL 2016 dress for a beach photocall. She rocked her v-neck printed maxi dress with ruffled flutter sleeves barefoot while posing around on the beach. A braided half up half down wavy hairstyle and pink lips finished up her look. 

This evening(August 31st) she attended the La La Land premiere and opening ceremony, she wore a custom made look from the designer. Her ivory plumetis halter dress with baby blue velvet details featured a ruffled neckline, a key hole detail and a ruffled tier hem. Opting not to accessorized her look, she finished up with a braided up-do and minimal make-up.

Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli & Atelier Versace at the 73rd Venice Film Festival La La Land Photocall, Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Following her arrival, Emma Stone attended the photocall & premiere of La La Land and the opening ceremony of the 73rd Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy today(August 31st).

For the photocall, she wore a GIAMBATTITA VALLI green, pink & white floral embroidered dress which sits above the knee. The long bishop inspired sleeves adds an Victorian touch to the dress which is on trend. However while I like the color contrast of her mustard suede JIMMY CHOO 'Lucy' ankle strap pumps, I don't think the style works with the dress. Pink lips and a complimentary up-do finished up her look. 

For the premiere, she went with an altered ATELIER VERSACE FALL 2016 silver & gold beaded sequin fringe halter which she styled with statement JENNIFER MEYER earrings and silver sandals. The modified version definitely worked in Emma's favor and she is rocking another on trend detail, fringe. A complimentary up-do with natural pink lips offset with shimmery eyes and JIMMY CHOO silver sandals finished up her look.

Gemma Arterton  is on hand as a jury for the 73rd Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy. Between yesterday and today, she already served up four different looks.

For her arrival on yesterday(August 30th), she kept it casual wearing a FRAME two-tone long sleeve stripe top and frayed hem MIH JEANS which she accessorized with an ASPINAL LONDON black bucket bag, dark sunglasses and KURT GEIGER sandals.

Later on that same day, she looked great in a SONIA RYKIEL RESORT 2017 strapless colorful printed ruffled tier dress with contrasting black embroidery and a black studded belt. I can't say that I like the belt but I do like the dress.  JENNIFER FISHER jewelry, a CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN clutch and PIERRE HARDY sandals.  

Earlier  today(August 31st) she attended the Jury Photocall she wore a RALPH & RUSSO FALL 2016 sleeveless white mini dress with an braided turtleneck. Keeping the styling simple, she finished up with nude sandals, a black watch and a complimentary up-do.

Later on this evening(August 31st) she attended the La La Land premiere and opening ceremony  she wore a black STELLA MCCARTNEY fitted floor length dress with a layered lace bra and a short train detail. We have seen similar dresses like this from the designer but she doesn't look bad.

Emma Stone in Chanel Arriving at the 73rd Venice Film Festival

The 73rd Venice Film Festival kicks off tomorrow in Venice, Italy and Emma Stone was one of the few celebs that was seen arriving today(August 30th) ahead of the opening ceremony which she will be attending. 

The actress worked a casual look which featured a CHANEL RESORT 2017 nude tone stripe knit dress accessorized with a black backpack, dark sunglasses and MANSUR GAVRIEL two-band flat sandals. The dress was presented in a dressy, chic manner but Emma's toned down style worked for her arrival.  

For big red carpet events like this, Emma knows how to deliver a look to keep us interested. I am excited to see what she wears to the premiere/opening ceremony tomorrow. What do you think of Emma's arrival look?
