Mary J Blige launches 'My Life' fragrance

Yesterday Mary J Blige was spotted in the Meatpacking District in NY shooting the commercial for her fragrance called "My Life" named after her 1994 platinum selling album. Mary J Blige spoke exclusively with WWD about the new fragrance and her challenges throughout her career. Blige is launching the fragrance through "Carol's Daughter" in which she owns a stake in the company. Word is that Blige lead the direction for the scent of the perfume and she knew exactly what she wanted. That is a good thing to me because she is not just putting her name on it, she is actually getting involved.

WWD is reporting that the top notes of the perfume is a mix of gardenia petals, Bartlett pear's and white freesia. It mainly consist of blooming jasmine, tuberose, gold lily, apricot flower, incense and accented with cashmere wood. Also according to WWD, Blige and Carol's Daughter have chosen to launch the fragrance only on HSN on July 31st. HSN is known bringing in big numbers for a lot of the brands that they carry. With Blige's popularity I am sure she will produce large numbers. Fashionista's a 1.7 fl oz will cost $46.(Photos:WWD)

Will you buy the "My Life" fragrance by Mary J Blige?
