Kimora Lee Simmons is Leaving Baby Phat

Sometimes all good things must come to an end and after 14 years, Kimora Lee Simmons has decided to leave her position at Baby Phat. It was announced yesterday and I have to say, I never saw this one coming. I think there is going to be a lot of shocked people when this really gets out. Russell Simmons sold Phat Fashions to the Kellwood company back in 2004. Russell left Phat Farm to start ventures, like Global Grind and the Argyle collection. So what's next for Baby Phat and Phat Farm now that Kimora is gone? Well as of now no one knows. Continue to read a statement Kimora released about her decision to leave............
Her is what Kimora had to say:
"After 14 years of conceiving and nurturing Baby Phat, it's time for me to move on and further expand my other businesses and create a new phenomenon. I adore all those who have faithfully been with me since the beginning. I'm forever dedicated to my family, fans and customers. My inspiration has always come from the fabulous women who have been with me through the years as we've grown from young party girls to power players! We're ready for our next journey together and we're taking a whole new generation of incredible young women with us. Girl power unite!"

There has been all sorts of rumors circling about why she is leaving and is wasn't her decision. If this was a move by Kellwood, then I am sure it will backfire on them. Kimora was the brain behind that whole operation and she made that ship sail to the top. However she will continue on with her KLS and Fabulosity brands so I am sure she will get the last laugh. Truthfully, I think they should have never sold it but that is just my opinion. Well I wish Kimora luck as she moves on because I am sure it is going to be fabulous!!!
