TOMS Next Chapter for One for One Revealed: Eyewear

For months TOMS has been dropping hints about the new direction for the company and the One for One product line and finally it was revealed. TOMS founder, Blake Mycoskie made the big announcement on yesterday about the launch of TOMS Eyewear. The eyewear will be the new venture for One for One which will give sight to people in need, prescription sunglasses along with eye surgery through the Seva Foundation. Three classic styles of sunglasses will be offered to customers and can be purchased at TOMS.com and Nordstroms along with select retailers around the US. With the retail price starting at $135 - $145, they are affordable for all my fashionistas.

Each TOMS sunglasses design will come with detailing that will include hand-painted stripes symbolizing elements of One for One. The stripe on the template is for the purchaser, the stripe on the tips is for the person receiving the sight and the middle stripe represents how TOMS is bringing them together.

For me this is big because blindness is one of the biggest disabilities in the world and in one way of another, everyone is affected by this disease. TOMS is doing something good to help show people how giving back is so important. You can spend your money on TOMS eyewear and shoes without feeling guilty about the purchase because you will be giving back while looking fashionable doing it.
