DIDIT HEDIPRASETYO is a designer who is now on my radar and he showed his Spring/Summer 2012 Couture Collection during Paris Couture Fashion Week recently. Didit showed a very romantic and whimsical collection that took you through India which then journeyed into a western fantasy. Turbans added a elegant touch which were designed by the great Philip Treacy. Tops were cropped, some with corset like detailing, were paired with shorts and dresses were light & structured. Looking at Didit's work, volume, drapping and materials in exotic fabrics were key components. Overall the collection was a mix of modern couture merged together with everyday wear.
