Naeem Khan Fall/Winter 2012

For Fall/Winter 2012, designer NAEEM KHAN wanted to do a collection that showcases the human body as a canvas and he did just that. Indian paisley prints were used along with Tilakas and swirl motifs which had beading, gold threading and appilque's on evening coats and gowns. Taupe, black and sand along with metallic's set the color tone for the collection. In some cases, if Khan didn't used prints, he played around with different textures. The silhouettes were very relaxed and refined. Also you can just see how artistic the designer really is and how the collection was finely put together. I remember as I ws sittng there watching the show, I wanted to grab every last piece of the runway and make a dash for it. With the Academy Awards quickly approaching, I am hoping to see one or several of his gowns on the redcarpet.
