Check out the new sandal that Kanye West collaborated with Giuseppe Zanotti. The "Cruel Summer" sandal was designer to celebrate G.O.O.D. music latest release. The sandal is designed with a "Grecian" like motif which is similar to the G.O.O.D. music album art. The Blonds Spring/Summer 2013

You will never really experience a show during NYFW until you have seen THE BLONDS runway show. As always, the duo delivered over-the-top sexy, fun and glitzy corsets/bustier like no other. For Spring/Summer 2013, it was all about the "Beach Blond" wearing heavy embellishment, florals and latex paired with layers of pearls and headbands. 

Men's pieces were also added into the collection along with simpler styles such as a black leather blazer paired with a printed skirt and a pink lipstick band on the waist. That was actually my favorite piece. The models strutted down the runway in their spiked Christian Louboutin's pumps which added more funk to their look. Jenny Packham Spring/Summer 2013

 

For Spring/Summer 2013, JENNY PACKHAM did what she always does and that is, create amazing red carpet looks. The collection was full of glittery glam looks but then their were pops of color and polka dots that made their way into the mix. My favorite piece in the collection was the polka dot peplum dress(I love peplum dresses). Their were some gowns that looked a bit heavy on the models on the runway because of the embellishments but that didn't take away from the look. Reem Acra Spring/Summer 2013

 

For Spring/Summer 2012 REEM ACRA didn't focus a lot on her usually gorgeous evening wear, instead she went the young and downtown attitude route. The collection was inspired by artist Aaron Young and featured some laser cut leather jackets, sheaths dresses and leather dresses. My favorites were the elegant separates that came in wide leg trousers, tuxedo inspired dresses and jumpsuits. Then came the red carpet stunners with sheer panels, embellishment and a couple of gorgeous gowns with intricate detailing, florals, paillettes and tulle.  CUSTO BARCELONA is know undoubtedly for his vibrant colors and bold prints and his Spring/Summer 2013 collection was no different. The collection featured an array of mirrored images, transparencies and bold graphics. Only Custo  Dalmau could take prints like this and merge it together with different textures. He served up an vibrant color palette for both men and women. My favorite piece in the collection were the tops that were short in the front and ended with a long train in the back. The KAELEN SPRING/SUMMER 2013 presentation started off with a frenzy, with countless of fashionista across the board lining up for the Friday morning debut. The box presentation studio was finally opened and as we were all ushered in to view Kaelen upcoming trends; and we were not disappointed. The common theme and color of the collection was the black & white with a punch of grey floral print sprinkled throughout the collection. The collection was slick, modern and the styling of the silhouette was clean and elegant. Kaelen Haworth is known for making women feel beautiful and the spring/summer collection was a true reflection of that with its overall sense of chic and modern mood.

Pierre Balmain Spring/Summer 2013

 

PIERRE BALMAIN is the sister line to BALMAIN and the line is just as amazing as it's counterpart. I was invited to preview the 'Digital Fashion Show' this week during NYFW. For Spring/Summer 2013, the collection featured peplum details, tapered pants, florals, plaids, denim, perforated styles and motorcycles jackets( the red leather was my favorite). You can see the difference between the two lines which to me is a good thing. A lot of brands tend to do a sister line which ends up looking the same. This is not the case here. The Balmain collection is more edgier with a rocker chic tone while this line is a bit tamer with a twist. Different designers design this collection which is noticeable but not a bad thing. Overall, the Pierre Balmain collection is on the road to developing it's own personality and has definitely sparked my interest to see and want more. To view the whole collection, go to Style.com. Alexandre Herchovitch Spring/Summer 2013

 

 At ALEXANDRE HERCHCOVITCH SPRING/SUMMER 2013 runway show, the designer got fashionista's excited before the show, including me, with hit songs from "The Culture Club". The collection boast pieces of loose and baggy clothes with a masculine touch. Hearts were placed strategically on some of the skirts, dresses and tops throughout the collection which apparently was an ode to 'Boy George'. Shirt dresses, board shorts, jumpers and loose tops were done in plaid and checks also in vibrant colors. My favorite pieces are the yellow jumper and the shirt dresses. On Thursday, Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra showed a collection of feminine pieces for a woman with simplistic style. COSTELLO TAGLIAPIETRA SPRING/SUMMER 2013 collection provided ease and movement in wearable prints, vibrant and nude hues. My favorite pieces in the collection are the printed halter jumper and the electric blue wrap coat with the green underlay. Rebecca Minkoff Spring/Summer 2013

 

So I attended the REBECCA MINKOFF SPRING/SUMMER 2013 runway show on yesterday and the collection featured a lot of great styles. Florals were shown strongly in the collection and I especially loved them on the bootcut jeans. The snakeskin overalls, cropped motorcycle jackets, white embroidered jeans with the matching jackets gave the collection a edgy masculine touch but the cute dresses kept it feminine. Rebecca Minkoff bags has done very well for her season after season and this time will be no different. Overall, she stayed true to her style with a little risky twist(that I like) but all her customers will love. What do you think of the collection? See by Chloe Spring/Summer 2013

 

SEE BY CHLOE did a digital fashion show yesterday morning so those invited to watch, including me, was able to watch the show while relaxing at home. This happens to be one of my favorite brands and I do own several pieces from the collections. For Spring/Summer 2013, the collection featured bright colors. pastels and leather along with chunky knit sweaters. Bomber jackets, slouchy leather track pants, denim drawstring pants and anorak jackets where some other styles show. My favorite pieces were the mustard wrap jacket paired with slouchy trousers and the cream sleeveless jumper. Overall, some pieces might be to heavy for spring/summer but the collection did boast many classic styles that I really like. Can't wait to shop the collection. What do you think of the collection?  So I attended the NICOLE MILLER SPRING/SUMMER 2013 runway show as part of New York Fashion Week on yesterday. For spring 2013, Nicole took us back to the 80's in which she was inspired by. You can tell the designer was all about creating fun with the digital and galactic prints that were featured in the collection. She played around with color and different textures. The tops with the peplum detail were my favorites along with the biker jackets and playful leggings. Overall, the collection had some updated styles for woman who just want to have fun and look good.
