Big British Invite Opening Reception

Last night I was invited to the 'Big British Invite' media /VIP opening reception to launch a two day pop-up showcasing the cultural scenes from food, fashion, music and nigh life of England, Scotland and Wales. The venue was designed to entice the appetites of travel savvy New Yorkers including fashionista's like me.

The experience last night gave those who have never been to London, including me, the opportunity to see what it is like across the pond and how to travel there in style with British Airways. The beautiful Estelle was my tour guide at the media press event so she gave in-depth insight of what to expect when you travel there.

The Grammy award winning songstress( Estelle ) co-hosted the event along with 'Downtown Abbey' actor Dan Stevens. Alexa Chung was also in attendance at the event mingling with guests.

British Airways had on display their first-class seating cabinets which provides a relaxing and comforting scene for your travel. With refreshed air crafts, smart cabinets and elegant lounges, British Airways ensures you travel in style and your needs are met.

The travel to Britain wasn't the only highlight because once you arrive there, it is places like luxury retailer LIBERTY LONDON which carries beautiful & stylish scarfs for fashion mavens to shop and FLUID MOVEMENT for the spirits enthusiasts who is looking for good spirits. Continue below to see more images of highlights from the event which gives you an inside look into Great Britain.

Me with R'n'B singer Estelle checking out the British Airways smart cabinet.

Me dancing in the Silent Disco Rave which was so much fun as you can see!

The black cab on the left, punk street stylers and a British phone booth on the right.

HIGHLANDS RESTAURANT GROUP served up some delicious bites which highlighted the cuisines of Scotland.

If you like cheese, then check out the Bedford Cheese shop.

Gorgeous flowers in rich colors provided by the LIBERTY LONDON.

When you need a good drink, head to Fluid Movement where they will shake & stir up one of their signature drinks, Beefeater 24. This is a modern version of a English Gin and it hit the spot.

The lovely girls at WAH NAILS did a really cool houndstooth print for me on my nails. So if you go to London, definitely check them out.

THE LONDON CANDY COMPANY showcased edible British landmarks and building.

If you are a tea lover like me, then SANDERSON LONDON is your place. They invite you to "tumble down the rabbit hole" to the 'MAD HATTER'S TEA' room for a interesting twist on tea. My favorite was the 'mint chocolate chip' tea, a must try if you go there.

If you look closely, you can see the British flag here. This is such a cool display thanks to the HOUSE OF HACKNEY.
