John Galliano is the New Creative Director at Maison Martin Margiela

Back in 2011 John Galliano was released from his namesake label and his duties at Christian Dior after an incident where he made some racist remarks. It was a long journey for the gifted designer to make his return to fashion but that has changed. The group OTB announced earlier today that Galliano will take over as Creative Director at Maison Martin Margiela.

We may not have liked what he said but you can't deny that Galliano has made an impact in fashion. I always loved seeing him come down the runway at the end of his & Dior's shows. Doesn't everyone deserve a second chance? I for one can't wait to see what he does at Margiela, because with a track record like his, it is guaranteed to be something memorable. What do you think of John Galliano's return to fashion?

“Margiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul. John Galliano is one of the greatest, undisputed talents of all time. A unique, exceptional couturier for a Maison that always challenged and innovated the world of fashion. I look forward to his return to create that Fashion Dream that only he can create, and wish him to here find his new home”. Renzo Rosso, President of OTB.
