The Art of Elysium 2016 HEAVEN Gala

Last night The Art of Elysium 2016 HEAVEN Gala which was presented by Vivienne Westwood & Andreas Kronthaler, took place at 3LABS in Culver City, California. For the most part, all of the guest were wearing VIVIENNE WESTWOOD unless otherwise stated.

Bella Thorne wore a MARCHESA dark purple lace panel silk-chiffon gown with a matching lip. Side parted curls topped off her look. I actually like, sultry with a vampy touch.

Kelly Rowland showed some cleavage in a printed long dress. The minimal accessories & beauty look allowed her dress to remain the focal point.

Camilla Belle wore a CAROLINA HERRERA SPRING 2016 ensemble which featured a sleeveless white & pink collar open-back top and a navy embroidered ball skirt. Camilla always brings her style A-game.

Nikki Reed stood out in a vibrant orange SOLACE LONDON center front split & cut-out halter dress which she teamed with a gold RODO clutch & BRIAN ATWOOD sandals. A matching lip and center straight off-the-shoulder tresses completed her look.

Christina Hendricks wore a burgundy draped off-the-shoulder dress with a tulle underlay. VW signature draped dresses can be hard to wear as you can see here with Christina. The hair probably should have been sleeker and a simple ankle strap sandal over her nude pumps would have been ideal. However this is not the best look overall.

Zendaya wore a white two-piece suit with a matching corset underneath. I like this but I am not to crazy about the fabric.

Kaley Cuoco wore a cute white tuxedo halter jumpsuit styled with a beaded clutch. One of her best looks in a while. A high top knot finished up her look.

Zelda Williams was one of my favorites as well wearing a embroidered lace panel deep-v tunic dress with the matching black sheer lace leggings.

Amber Valletta of course wore something sheer & sexy. Her gold sheer stripe VIONNET SPRING 2016 dress was layered with a bra & briefs underneath. Gold accessories topped off her look.

Amber Heard wore a red silk draped long dress which she teamed with statement jewelry and a red clutch.

Minka Kelly wore a blue strapless MONIQUE LHUIILIER PRE-FALL 2014 draped gown styled with a silver clutch.

Jamie Chung wore a yellow draped dress styled with a gold clutch and black & pink panel sandals. Not to crazy about the look & fit of this dress on Jamie but the styling works.

Ashley Tisdale worked a sheer black & silver beaded dress courtesy of DAVIDSON ZANINE. A sleek center part ponytail and a black clutch topped off her look.

Odette Annabel wore a tri-color MARIA LUCIA HOHAN cut-out dress with a side front thigh split. The v-neckline, side & back features sheer nude panels which I do not favor. Also the black waist panel looks very odd here.

Jaime King worked her right leg in a navy thigh high split dress with a draped bodice. A ankle strap or strappy sandal would have been ideal.

Amy Smart wore a silver & gold beaded mini dress which could have been a great look had she went with a better shoe choice.

Cara Santana wore a white draped long dress which is nice but the fit looks off, especially from the waist below.

Christina Milian wore a floral draped dress styled with purple T-strap sandals. I just don't understand how she can wear such a heavy lip with the look.

Malin Akerman was almost unrecognizable with her curls wearing a MONIQUE LHUILLIER SPRING 2014 pink train detail top and red trousers.

Kat Graham worked her left leg in a yellow METY CHOA strapless draped structured gown. Gold sandals, a beaded clutch, a statement cuff and pulled back locks completed her look.

Juliette Lewis made a big entrance wearing a black beaded layered gown with puffy Juliet sleeves and a high neck. Juliette gets points for taking the fashion risk but while I don't hate it, I don't love it for the occasion.

  1. Julia's fashion statement is great, but perhaps it is better suited for some big premiere. Zendaya, Kayley and Zelda are my favorites here. I also like Amber, but she could switch her hairstyle from time to time.

  2. I was disappointed by Camilla Belle who usually brings it big for this event. This look is fine, but not the beautiful "belle of the ball" standout we are used to seeing from her at this event, nothing exciting or memorable, and the hair needed to be up in an updo with that collar.
Subpar showing overall. I was only actually charmed by Malin Akerman - interesting colour combo, unexpected look, and what looks like 70s-inspired vibe and well thought-out styling added character to the look.

And I have to say, Juliette Lewis looked bad - way too over-the-top, Halloweenish/costumey, and the hair is wrong, needed an updo.
