Cate Blanchett in Atelier Versace at the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards

Cate Blanchett hasn't sold me on most of her looks this season but that has been changing. Yesterday evening she made an appearance at the 18th Costume Designers Guild Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Making a shiny entrance, she hit the white carpet in a custom black ATELIER VERSACE sleeveless snake embossed side split dress with a cutaway back detail. The Oscar nominee dressed up her look with a statement TIFFANY & CO bib necklace.

Ensuring nothing takes away from her look, she went with a simple loose braided up-do with side layers and a simplistic make-up look. I like this look, it's simple but with a elegant statement. What do you think of Cate's look?

  1. QUEEN of the red carpet! What I love about Cate's red carpet looks is that you can never be sure what she'll wear next. And I can't wait to see what she wears at the Oscars....

  2. Love this sexier look on her, the silhouette is amazing, it really shows off her small waist, and the bib necklace works perfectly as a statement accent. Her hair and makeup are a bit weak/underdone for this look imo., but this is still bold and beautiful.

  3. Unpredictable,as always. This maybe the look I less liked on her. She looks a bit robotic in it. Also, the back of the dress actually look better than the front. Loved the amazing necklace.
