Uma Thurman hit the red carpet last night for the 2016 amFar Gala Honoring Harvey Weinstein at Cipriani Wall Street in New York.
While most of the attendees were wearing long dresses & gowns, Uma opted for a simple LELA ROSE PRE-FALL 2016 ivory calf length dress with puffy sleeves and a slightly curved v-neckline.
The dress looks a bit tight in the bust line and I think it's just a little to laid back for the event. Light waves, a bold red lip, diamond jewelry and ankle strap sandals completed her look. Do you think Uma's look worked for the occasion?

A gala asks for a full gown or a floor lenght skirt , or even a tuxedo. It is a nice dress but more proper for an informal lunch / dinner.
