Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a style star that quietly makes an impact on the carpet. Last night she attended the 2016 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.
She hit the red carpet in a LELA ROSE FALL 2016 cobalt blue, purple and black floral embroidered gown with a black sheer illusion panel v-neckline and a short train detail.
I thought Gugu looked beautiful in this gown however I don't like the sheer illusion panel. I wish it was either flesh tone or removed. A purple metallic clutch, a pulled back hairstyle and berry lips topped off her look. Does the sheer illusion panel work for you?

The black panel is a bit of a distraction but it doesnt ruin the look, I kind of understand keeping it for the occasion. She looks great. She is always so classy.

ReplyDeleteShe is lovely as always, but I'm also not a fan of the panel and the print is a bit too dark, moody and fall-like.
