On Tuesday(May 24th) Janelle Monae attended the 2016 Gordon Parks Foundation Awards Dinner at
Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
She hit the carpet in a BARBARA BUI FALL 2016 black cape dress with patent houndstooth & fringe panel in the front and contrasting green underlining.
I really love this fringe dress and it looked great on Janelle but the look feels a bit overdone with the fringe sandals. A side parted curly short do, a fuchsia lip and a black clutch topped off her look.

I agree about the fringed sandals. A bit too matchy matchy for my tastes but it still is a strong look. I like it a lot. Her face is just so gorgeous.
