Jourdan Dun made an entrance this evening at the premiere of The Unkown Girl (La Fille Inconnue) during the 69th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France.
RALPH & RUSSO continues to be the designer of choice for the festival as she worked a number from the duo's SPRING 2016 COUTURE collection. Her strapless white hi lo hem gown with a train detail, was adorned with floral beading.
Beauty wise, she went with a complimentary up-do and minimal neutral make-up. Love the spring feel of this gown but I would have loved to see her with a pink lip color. Utilizing the pockets on her gown, she finished up with drop earrings and PAULA CADEMARTORI red & navy strappy satin sandals. Did Jourdan sell this look to you?

Honestly, I am tired of this silhouette. I can appreciate the craftmanship involved but I don't understand why designers insist so much on a 18th century shape for woman. Just imagine men showing up dressed in 18th century attires. It seems anachronic to me. An easy-one shot answer for the lack of new ideas.
ReplyDeleteHaving said that one can see that is an exceptionally well made dress. I love the hair style as well.
