Michelle Monaghan in Rosie Assoulin at the 2016 MET Gala

Michelle Monaghan made her way to the carpet yesterday evening(May 2nd) at the 2016 MET Gala, Manus X Machina-Fashion in an Age of Technology at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.

For the occasion, she wore a custom ROSIE ASSOULIN FALL 2016 black dress which featured a hand embroidered tow-tone cut-out top made out of machine made recycled aluminum cans and a vegan pleather & ruffle zip-off tiered skirt.

Michelle is wearing altered look from the look book version which I like. I like the idea of Michelle's dress because it's details works with the gala's theme. However I would have loved to see her with a colored lip to elevate the look. An EDIE PARKER clutch, BRIAN ATWOOD heels and ROXANNE ASSOULIN earrings topped off her look. Did Michelle win you over with this look?

  1. I like the look book photo with the yellow skirt. On Michelle, however, it all looks a bit too "recycled", a project runway challenge.

  2. Wow... this was true commitment. Love the idea of recycled materials. The skirt is beautiful and very artistic but the colour is not so nice.

  3. I like this much more than I thought I would. It fits the theme and has an edginess to it that just works.
