Yesterday(October 6th) Emma Stone and Amy Adams attended the 39th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival opening night reception and press conference at the Outdoor Art Club in Mill Valley, CA.
Emma Stone wore a RODARTE SPRING 2017 white lace embroidered v-neck calf length dress with contrasting black trimming. The dress was presented on the runway unlined but Emma lined her dress for her appearance. I know everyone is tired of the sheer trend but on this occasion, I do prefer the runway's unlined version. Emma's version takes away from the beautiful lace. Side parted waves, a pink lip and black ankle strap sandals finished up her look. Which version do you prefer?
Amy Adams wore a custom PRADA black crepe & satin panel beaded calf length pleated dress with a tie shoulder detail. Even though I am not sold on the design, I am thankful that this isn't another one of her signature, boring fitted dress. Also a simpler heel would have been ideal over those platform sandals. However, her make-up and hair is on point. GRAZIELA GEMS jewelry finished up her look.

I think it would've been hard to pull off the unlined version for the press conference, but I'm not too keen on this look on Emma anyway - it'a a bit too lace-y/sugary. Amy looks nice, although nothing noteworthy and the sandals look a bit heavy.
