Janelle Monae wears a lot of black & whites on the carpet but she always keeps it fresh. On Saturday(November 12th) she attended the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 8th Annual Governors Awards at The Ray Dolby Ballroom in LA.
She wore a MATICEVSKI FALL 2016 strapless black & white ruffled printed gown. The gown has a hi lo hem which is visible in the look book but not on Janelle due to her height. I actually prefer the look of the gown in the look book which is probably suited for someone taller.
However I still thought she looked beautiful in this dress and I do like her hairstyle. EFFY & VITA FEDE jewelry, a NAEEM KHAN clutch and purple eyeliner finished up her look. Do you think the dress works on Janelle or do you prefer the look book presentation?
