2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Wrap-up

Awards season is in full swing and yesterday evening the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards Gala took place at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, CA. To see all of the red carpet looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up.

Kirsten Dunst wore a custom RALPH & RUSSO COUTURE three-quarter sleeve silver beaded gown with a v-neckline which she accessorized with CHOPARD jewelry. My only quibble is that I wish she went with an elegant up-do but other than that, she looked beautiful.

Octavia Spencer ditched Tadashi Shoji for a ELIZA mock two-piece gown which featured a white cuff sleeve button down shirt and a tie waist rose embroidered ball gown skirt. Love this classic look on her even thought I find the top to be too tight.

Annett Bening won the 'Career Achievement' award wearing a navy MICHAEL KORS floor length dress which featured a sheer long sleeve floral beaded top.

Laura Dern wore a teal J. MENDEL chiffon pleated from with a key hole detail, a contrasting black tie neck and a tier skirt. A sleek, complimentary up-do and a simple ankle strap sandal over her KURT GEIGER pumps could have enhanced her look.

  2. Because I said soTuesday, January 03, 2017

Kirsten's dress is exceptionally beautiful but a bit matronly for her. I can see a first lady or an elderly royal wearing it better.
Otavia was the best dressed of the event .I thought her outfit was Carolina Herrera.I adore this look as my mum wore several variations of this throughout the years. I would suggest Otavia for best dressed of the week.

  3. Love Octavia! Gwyneth Paltrow wore the same R&R dress as Kirsten, but in champagne, last year.
