74th Golden Globes Awards Wrap-up

Last night(January 8th) the 74th Golden Globe Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. To see all of the celeb looks, click HERE and continue below for the wrap-up. Also be sure to check back shortly for the after-party looks.

Reese Witherspoon wore a yellow ATELIER VERSACE floor length dress with a split v-neckline and a thigh-high split. This is definitely something that we have seen Reese in before but the color makes it standout.

Gina Rodriguez got her shake on while on the carpet wearing a white NAEEM KHAN beaded fringe halter gown with a deep v-neckline. Simple but pretty.

Teresa Palmer returned to the carpet looking beautiful in a ARMANI PRIVE navy velvet gown with cut-out tulip inspired sleeves and a cut-out beaded back. A mirrored clutch, a side parted slick bun and red lips finished up her look.

Regina King sparkled in a ROMONA KEVEZA strapless silver beaded gown. A colored lip wouldn't have hurt but she still looked beautiful.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus made my night when she took over the dj booth from QuestLove. She wore a GEORGES CHAKRA SPRING 2017 black & white cut-out one-shoulder dress with a side split.

Carrie Underwood wore the IRIS SERBAN 'Selena' pink crepe floor length long dress with all hand made delicate flowers and a siren shape skirt. Carrie's dress was featured with sheer long sleeves in the look book which thankfully she removed. She said she picked this dress because it was girly & suited her. Whether we like it or not, I am inclined to agree with her.

Winona Ryder wore a brand that I haven't seen a celeb in for a while, VIKTOR & ROLF. Her black satin gown featured a pleated skirt, a bow back and short train detail. Satin/silk can be hard to sell because it easily creases but I think with better accessories, she could have enhanced this look.

Keri Russell wore a J. MENDEL PRE-FALL 2017 ruffled leopard v-neck gown and black long choker. I don't think the choker was needed and a sleeker off-the-shoulder hairstyle would have been ideal.

Riley Keough wore a CHANEL FALL 2016 COUTURE black & silver beaded dress with velvet & crepe panels, a cut-out bodice and a chiffon pleated hem. Given how the dress was presented on the runway, the dress is too long on Riley and I think a tad mature. Also I wish she went with either the red lip or smokey eye.

Kristin Wiig wore a REEM ACRA white three-quarter sleeve lace gown which she layered with nude underling. This is not a standout look but she looks nice.

Busy Philipps were a STELLA MCCARTNEY black long sleeve floor length gown with a floral embroidered and a train detail. I don't like the hair but the floral bodice & yellow clutch kept her look alive.

Octavia Spencer surprisingly ditched to Tadashi Shoji for a custom LAURA BASCI navy satin panel tuxedo jacket and matching pants. I appreciate the suit but her look doesn't excite. However she is wearing some diving LORRAINE SCHWARTZ jewelry.

Elsa Pataky wore a strapless ZUHAIR MURAD sheer beaded gown which I think is a bit dated. Also I am not feeling the hair with it.

Sofia Vergara tends to stick to one look so this ZUHAIR MURAD gold long sleeve sheer beaded tulle gown is no surprise. The only thing that keeps it from being too dated is the on trend cold-shoulders.

Kathryn Hahn turned to designer of the moment, BRANDON MAXWELL. This maybe the first BM look that I don't like. The pants are just too long and the styling is not great at all.

Amanda Peet shared a sweet kiss with Sarah Paulson on the carpet wearing a burgundy BOTTEGA VENETA gown with a cut-out back.

Anna Chlumsky wore a green ROLAND MOURET one-shoulder dress with a contrasting black strap. This dress is not for anyone with a big bust.

Gwendoline Christie wore a signature VIVIENNE WESTWOOD COUTURE drape corset gown. This color is not her friend, she should have accessorized with pieces to balance out her look.

Anna Kendrick wore a VIONNET SPRING 2017 grey cut-out one-shoulder silk-chiffon pleated pleated gown. On the runway, Anna's gown was shown with a nude & silver rope belt on the runway which I prefer over the grey velvet she chose. A complimentary beauty look topped off her look.

Caitriona Balfe wore a DELPOZO PRE-FALL 2017 navy & orange panel floor length dress with an embellished floral brooch on the waist. This shape can be hard to pull off but I think she nailed it. She made a simple but elegant impact.

  1. Caitriona Balfe - This is exactly what I was hoping to see - something a bit more unconventional yet still perfectly sophisticated and elegant for the formal occasion. The unusual combination of colours is eye-catching, and she looked incredibly graceful and well-poised. She was one of my very top faves of the event.

  4. Don't like the way the bust fits, but love the dress on Gina. Busy would look great IF she had sleek Veronica Lake waves, or a modeern updo. She ruined a great dress with that hair! Catriona is my fave of all of these.
