Brie Larson in Rodarte at the 74th Golden Globe Awards

On hand as a presenter, Brie Larson made her first red carpet outing this year at the 74th Golden Globe Awards this evening(January 8th) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.

On tune with the carpet, she wore a custom RODARTE strapless pleated chiffon gown with a beaded tulle bodice. When I first heard that Brie was wearing Rodarte, I was not expecting this.

I was looking for a beaded lace & ruffled heavily detailed number. This reminded me of J. Mendel but the actress looked simply beautiful & elegant and I love the color. Side parted waves, a matching lip and 500K worth of FOREVERMARK jewelry finished up her look. What do you think of Brie's Rodarte look?

  1. This does not look like Rodarte at all. So different from anything we've seen of them... very shocking! I like this.

    1. This is not shocking... Natalie Portman has worn a Rodarte dress almost like it at the Oscar, in 2009. ;)

    2. I think you mean the Venice film fest in 2009 (red rodarte dress). She wore purple rodarte at the oscars.

  2. Stunning color, but I'm a bit bored - the silhouette is standard (there is almost a dated feel) and the styling falls short - needed a good statement ring perhaps and a bit better tresses (hers look a bit weak, and flat on top).

  3. RODARTE?? WHAAAA?? This looks more like Atelier Versace or Armani Privé. Wow! What a pleasant surprise; I really like this! And it absolutely sings on Brie!

She looks beautiful, love the colour for her complexion. The dress is nothing new whatsoever , indeed looks a bit dated as Nat stated before but it is extremely well executed. I guess Rodarte realized they need to pay the bills and will start to cater for a more conventional look besides their traditional aesthetic.
