Erykah Badu in Wolford & Ashi Couture at the 8th Essence Black Women in Music

No matter where she is going, Erykah Badu knows how to make a fashion entrance on the carpet. Yesterday(February 9th) posed on the black carpet before she hit the stage at the 8th Annual Essence Black Women in Music event at NeueHouse Hollywood in LA.

On tune with the carpet, she made an dramatic entrance wearing a ASHI FALL 2016 COUTURE black gown which featured a velvet, padded one-shoulder top and a voluminous feathered ball gown skirt.

To make this look her own, Eryah layered her gown with a WOLFORD sheer long sleeve top underneath and she wore her signature park ranger hat. However I think she could have done without the sheer top. Love her make-up which topped off her look along with clear glasses and gold jewelry. This is a look only Miss Badu can pull off. Are you feeling it?

  1. No, I don't feel it. The long sleeve top, through sheer, seems to be suffocating her, makes the look really heavy. On the lookbook, the dress feels much much better.
Great dress, but the shirt kills it.

  2. I applaud her for her originality but this look is horrible.
