Issa Rae was beautiful on Friday(February 17th) at BET's 2017 American Black Film Festival Honors awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.
For the occasion, Issa turned to LISA FOLAWIYO. She wore the designer's SPRING 2017 printed off-the-shoulder floor length dress with short sleeves and a navy cummerbund. Issa's dress was featured in the look book in a different print, with long sleeves.
For me, I really like the look book color-way but Issa's version worked as well. An EDIE PARKER clutch, DOVES & LE VIAN jewelry, a complimentary up-do and smokey eyes off-set with a nude lip finished up her look. Which version of the dress do you prefer, Issa's or the look book?

Although I've seen this look featured elsewhere, you're the first to show a comp from the designer. This gives much context to how the dress is "supposed" to look. Anyway, I don't find this particularly flattering on her, but she is so joyful and radiant, that she still looks quite wonderful.
