Issa Rae was one of the honorees on Saturday(August 5th) at the 2017 Black Girls Rock! awards at NJPAC in Newark, New Jersey.
She hit the red carpet in a LEILOU BY ALEX DOJCINOVIC FALL 2017 sheer white floor length dress with colorful beading, padded shoulders, a contrasting black beaded v-neckline and a black bodysuit underneath for coverage. I think that if Issa wore the dress as presented on the runway, this could have been a winning look.
I prefer the matching bodice and the statement belt which worked better with the dress but she doesn't look bad. She finished up with curly locks, JOHN HARDY jewelry and a EDIE PARKER 'Jean' clutch. Which version of the dress do you prefer, Issa's or the runway's?
