Following the jury photocall, Cate Blanchett made her way back to the red carpet for the 'Everybody Knows' premiere and opening ceremony during the 71st Cannes Film Festival this evening(May 8th) in Cannes, France.
For the occasion, she wore a ARMANI PRIVE FALL 2013 sheer black lace embroidered gown with nude underlining for coverage. Cate's red carpet looks are always unpredictable which I love. While she can go for a piece hot off the runway, she likes to dip in the archives as well.
Also we know that this is Cate's second time wearing this gown but I see nothing wrong with recycling a piece. To compliment the detail neckline, she wore her hair in a center part up-do. This may not be a wow moment but she looks elegant enough for the occasion. Statement earrings and minimal make-up finished up her look.
