On a quick break from her 'SOTW' tour, Janet Jackson hit the red carpet for the 2018 Black Girls Rock! awards at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center last night(August 26th) in Newark, NJ.
Janet was honored at the event and she wore a CHRISTIAN SIRIANO FALL 2018 navy long sleeve floral velvet layered, turtleneck gown with an exaggerated train in the back. Her ball gown was accessorized with H. CROWNE hoops, a KAIMIN spiked choker, a YVY harness and LILLIAN SHALOM rings.
Whether the gown is a hit or miss in our eyes, voluminous pieces like this is something that Janet tends to gravitate towards. The gown looks a little overwhelming on her but she makes it work, while rocking R13 black platforms boots underneath which she can see via her instagram. While I know some may not get it, I do like the hair. Do you think Janet pulled this look off?
