2019 ELLE Women In Hollywood Celebration Wrap-up

Last night(October 14th) Joey King, Zendaya and more attended the 2019 2019 ELLE Women In Hollywood celebration which was held at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills hotel in LA. The event was in partnership with RALPH LAUREN who dressed most of the guests, unless otherwise stated.

Storm Reid went the sporty, chic route, rocking a POLO RALPH LAUREN blazer, which was layered with a black turtleneck & white shirt underneath and side stripe leather pants. TAMARA MELLON sandals rounded out her great look.

Issa Rae was the host for the evening and she chose a popular red carpet hue. Her yellow RL dress featured a deep v-neck, a crisscross waist and a thigh-high split. Her skin was glowing and a complimentary purple eye-shadow was added to her beauty look.

Madelaine Petsch wore a PRADA printed light-weight jacket with a white shirt underneath and the matching crop pants. This is cute but oxfords would have looked great with this ensemble.

Zoey Deutch looked beauty in a RESORT 2020 strapless yellow, sequin column gown with a back split. I wish she kept the look book's necklace but she still looked divine.

Nicole Kidman chose the black version of the runway's SPRING 2019 white double-breasted tuxedo dress. The white was clearly a better choice but seeing as everyone mostly wore all black, her choice isn't surprising. A YVAN TUFENKJIAN choker, earrings, & rings, and LE VIAN & KALLATI rings, light waves and embellished pumps finished up her look.

Charlize Theron chose an interesting ensemble from the LOUIS VUITTON RESORT 2020. I feel like I am more sold on this look on the model than Charlize.

Natalie Portman wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR FALL 2019 COUTURE black strapless, lace embroidered tea length dress. This is not a bad look but I feel like she needed a necklace.

Scarlett Johansson chose a TOM FORD SPRING 2019 black velvet & crepe, drape pane knee length dress with a cut-out back. The look book hue is better but again, black was the color of the night. Touches of color came via her eye-shadow, manicure and ANABELA CHAN earrings. The eyes just doesn't work with the tone of the dress.

Adria Arjona wore a FALL 2019 black jumpsuit which featured a strapless split neck, silk floor length top and black wide-leg pants. The split neck is too wide on her and the pants needed to be hemmed.

Annabelle Wallis wore a FALL 2019 black & white tuxedo, halter jumpsuit. I really want to like this but I am not sold. She looks lie one of the waiters and the pants needed to be hemmed.

Gwyneth Paltrow chose a basic black one-shoulder dress from the BOTTEGA VENETA SPRING 2020 collection. Her dress was accessorized with NIKOS KOULIS jewelry and JIMMY CHOO sandals. This boring, some statement diamond jewelry, a colored lip and off-the-shoulder tresses could have elevated this.

Catherine O'Hara wore a FALL 2019 black velvet and crepe panel tuxedo. On this occasion, I am kinda glad that she left the bow tie out but I dislike the over-sized lapels.

Hunter King was a beauty in a AZZEDINE ALAIA FALL 2019 black shimmer dress which was shown in white in the look book. I actually prefer the black on her.

Hunter Schafer chose a difficult piece from the LOEWE SPRING 2020 collection. While I am not feeling her look at look, she seems pleased with it, which matters most.

Indya Moore wore a SPRING 2017 purple & silver floral embroidered, center front split dress. Opting not to utilize the sleeves, she dressed up look with statement jewelry. This is slightly different from her usual really sexy looks but it is still sexy and she sells it.

Jameela Jamil sparkled in a AZZARO FALL 2018 COUTURE black & silver embellished power suit. I kinda wise she button the jacket, and belted the waist but I like the suit in general especially for this occasion. Also the pants needed to be hemmed. ESTABLISHED & RACHEL KATZ jewelry and her signature hairstyle finished up her look.

Janet Mock ditched wearing a dress for a FALL 2019 tuxedo which was shown with a black velvet robe jacket. Thankfully she wore the robe open.

Lake Bell wore a ivory & white MONSE RESORT 2020 fringe top and matching crop pants. If this looks familiar, that's because Emily Ratajkowski wore the dress version which I prefer over this.

Margot Robbie ditched wearing Chanel for this FALL 2019 all black look which featured a sequin top and a silk pleated skirt with a cummerbund waist detail. I am not sure what's going on with the hair but that right side needed to be brushed down. As far as her look, it's not working for me. GUISE ZANOTTI sandals finished up her look.

Mindy Kaling worked her frame in a OSCAR DE LA RENTA black side front split dress. The silver embellished cuffs was definitely needed to keep this dress interesting. DAVID YURMAN jewelry, embellished sandals and a colored lip rounded out her look.

Sydney Sweeney chose a FALL 2019 black feather mini dress with a playful feather neckline and black satin bow sandals. I think a colored lip wouldn't have hurt but she still looked great.

Thomasin McKenzie wore a FALL 2019 black tuxedo, halter jumpsuit, which I like. However I feel like something is missing to take this to the next level, like statement jewelry.
