6 Handbag Trends For S/S 2020

Your handbag can be essential in completing your look. I am highlighting six handbags for Spring/Summer 2020 that you should keep on your radar for the season. I think the thing that is so great about these styles is that they can transition into the next season with ease.

JACQUEMUS 'Le Micro Vanity' Pouch, available at SSENSE

Tiny, Micro bags:
Lizzo had everyone talking when she showed up to the 2019 AMA's carrying a very tiny handbag by Valentino. The tiny bag may not be able to carry much but it has become the new ''it'' style.

RAG & BONE 'Elliott' sling leather bag, available at NORDSTROM

Sling Bags:
Merging together the look of a backpack and a shoulder bag, the sling bag which falls in an asymmetrical across the back, has become the new handsfree way to wear handbags.

Gucci bamboo top handle bag, available at FARFETCH

Bamboo Handles:
Forget the traditional style top handle bags, bamboo top handle bags have become a popular detail. The nature inspired detail has a vintage like look that will never go out of style and it can be transitioned into the fall/winter season.

ALEXANDER WANG 'Attica' double mini fanny pack, on sale at FWRD.

Multi-Handbags:
Multiple compartments is always the first thing that I look for when handbag shopping but now designers have changed the game by connecting 2 or three handbags/pouches together. However if you can't find one, you can either knot two bags together like Coach did on the runway.

BOTTEGA VENETA 'The Pouch' leather bag, available at MY THERESA.

Pouches:
I think most of us had grandmas who had coin pouches of sort, well pouches have reemerged in a big way from minimalistic style to ornate. The pillowy shape bags which are carried by hands only, are the perfect replacements for clutches.

TORY BURCH 'Robinson' balloon stripe convertible stripe bag, available at TORYBURCH.

Stripes:
I love playful stripes on clothing but now the print has given handbags a refreshed look. Whether it's bold or muted, expect to see more stripes on handbags.
