Milena Smit, Penelope Cruz, Cynthia Erivo, Serena Rossi, Sarah Gadon & more attended the 78th Venice Film Festival opening ceremony & the 'Parallel Mothers' premiere this evening(September 1st) in Venice, Italy.
Alba Rohrwacher chose a nude pleated cape dress from the CHRISTIAN DIOR FALL 2021 collection. Love the dress but I dislike the color on her even with the red lip. Navy would have been so much better for her.
Isabelle Huppert dipped in the GIORGIO ARMANI archives for this FALL 2005 PRIVE beaded gown. The jewelry is what took this to the next level. She looked divine. Emma Roberts wore this at the Vanity Fair Oscars party but she still nailed it.
Bianca Balti made a dramatic entrance wearing a DOLCE & GABBANA FALL 2021 COUTURE yellow one-shoulder voluminous gown which just hit the runway the other day. I like the color & the drama that it gives.
Sara Sampaio also dipped into the GIORGIO ARMANI archives for the is FALL 2008 PRIVE black velvet panel gown. The embellished straps, which she is wearing g different from the runway version, is what added some attitude to this gown. Definitely different from her usual sultry looks and she looked lovely.
Madisin Rian went the archival route as well, wearing a black embellished GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE SPRING 2005 one-shoulder gown. The fit on the bust is little off but she looked beautiful and wearing the gown so much better.
Aitana Sanchez-Gijon looked beautiful wearing this GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE SPRING 2020 navy strapless, sequin layered gown. Love the color.
Barbara Palvin wore a GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE FALL 2018 black strapless, column gown with a draped, peplum panel. I feel like something is missing. Maybe she should have kept the runway earrings or added a simple but sparkly necklace or a statement ring or bracelet.
Mariacarla Boscono went through the JEAN PAUL GAULTIER archives for this FALL 2016 COUTURE sheer panel which she dressed up with a statement necklace. I would swap out the pumps for ankle strap sandals.
Adriana Lima sparkled beautifully in a custom ETRO red strapless, sequin dress with a cutout bodice and a center front split. The fit on the bodice is a little off but the color looks great on her.
Mona Fastvold looked lovely wearing a custom white draped column organzine gown by ALBERTA FERRETTI. However I don't like the bodice but this isn't a totally bad look.
Helen Mirren came sparkling in a DOLCE & GABBANA sequin floor length dress with a short train behind. She is wearing black pumps which I would definitely swap out for silver metallic. I can't say that this is her best but it's not a bad look.
Georgina Rodriguez ditched wearing a dress or gown for a simple ERMANNO SCERVINO black suit which she dressed up with diamond jewelry. I feel like she needed a red lip here to take this to the next level but the suit has a great fit.
Lady Amelia and Eliza Spencer posed together wearing custom ALBERTA FERRETTI gowns as well. Lady Amelia is wearing a black gown with a satin, sequin embroidery skirt, and Lady Eliza Spencer wears a satin duchesse bustier gown in pink.
Chloe Zhao was also among the many celebs that wore GIORGIO ARMANI. Her embroidered silk dress was styled with cowboy like boots. This dress & boots may not work for some but it is perfect on Chloe.
