2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Following the SAG awards, the stars flocked to the blue carpet in Santa Monica, CA for the 2024 Film Independent Spirit Awards which was held on Sunday(February 25th).

Jeffrey Wright wore a stripe suit and I feel like he needed to go up one size. 

Colman Domingo wore a VERSACE tweed suit with DAVID YURMAN jewelry. He just always gets it right for me. 

Andrew Scott is always giving us some color and I love it. He could not be missed wearing a custom, bold yellow, double breasted suit by ETRO.

Michelle Williams wore a CHANEL SPRING 2023 COUTURE multicolored, tweed coat dress. If this was nipped more at the waist and accessorized with better shoes, this may have worked. 

Natalie Portman wore a red leather ensemble from the BALMAIN SPRING 2024 collection. I actually prefer the pieces as presented on the runway, but I don't mind how she styled it. It's just the weird flowers on the skirt that's bugging me. 

Elizabeth Banks returned to the carpet wearing a JACQUEMUS SPRING 2024 red mini dress which looks so much better on the model. I think the issue with Elizabeth's look is the styling. 

Ali Wong wore a sparkly CONG TRI SPRING 2024 sequin halter dress. To be honest, I'm not feeling the clown, ruff collar but this is much better than her previous look.

Charles Melton wore a LOUIS VUITTON PRE-FALL 2024 ensemble and the proportions are off, but that maybe on purpose. Ir's not a bad look either way.

Bel Powley wore a yellow plaid coat from the MARNI SPRING 2024 collection, styled with white socks and fuchsia pumps. It has sort of a 90's, retro feel to it. Kudos to her for always having good fun with her fashion choices.

Greta Lee wore a LII FALL 2024 white dress and although there is a lot going on with the shape, she pulls it off. She definitely should have kept the look book's heels or opted for metallic. 

Jessica Chastain wore a OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE-FALL 2024 sheer illusion, fringe dress and this cobalt blue hue looks great on her. However, the dress looks slightly like a figure skater costume. 

Anne Hathaway wore a white sequin embellished jumpsuit by VALENTINO and I thought it was a great look. However, the pants needed to be hemmed. 

Billie Eilish also wore VALENTINO look, but surprisingly her black logo ensemble isn't as baggy as most of her looks are.

Emma Roberts also wore a custom look by VALENTINO. Her black cutout halter dress was shown in a beaded version in the SPRING 2024 collection. Given the location, this sultry piece worked. 

Molly Gordon was also in a VALENTINO SPRING 2024 look. I think that she should have gone with metallic or colored accessories. 

Anna Kendrick wore a floral off-the-shoulder dress from the MARKARIAN SPRING 2024 collection. It was a great look for the occasion but the top is too tight on the bust. 

Da'Vine Joy Randolph looked gorgeous as always wearing DA SHONE by DASH and ALBA pieces which was accessorized with MISHO jewelry and STEVE MADDEN sandals. 

Quinta Brunson looked pretty as well wearing a PRABAL GURUNG gold strapless, floral sequin column dress. RAHAMINOV DIAMONDS, SUZANNE KALAN & GRACE LEE DESIGNS jewelry and JIMMY CHOO sandals finished up her look.  

Stephanie Hsu suited up in KATE SPADE NY which she accessorized with REZA jewelry and JIMMY CHOO pumps. 

Zoe Lister Jones wore a pink plaid two-piece ensemble from the ACNE STUDIOS SPRING 2024 collection. I don't mind the frilly, flower tulle pieces, I just wish they weren't on the skirt. 

Dominique Fishback wore a BACH MAI FALL 2023 metallic peplum mini with a sheer black maxi skirt underneath. I prefer the look book's presentation. 

James Marsden wore a brown chevron, double breasted blaze by CANALI, which he styled with a brown tee and trousers. 

Dominic Sessa stood out in his white SAINT LAURENT suit with a sheer black shirt underneath. He looked great here.

Lily Gladstone wore Indigenous designer J. OKUMA. I find the fit to be off, mainly at the top, and I'm not sold on the uneven hem either. Also, those shoes are too heavy with this dress. 

Erika Alexander wore a pink floral ESE AZENABOR wrap dress. I feel like this would be so much better in a lighter fabric. 

Hannah Einbinder wore a LOUIS VUITTON black leather and crepe pleated strapless dress. The dress is cute, but it definitely needs some jewelry. 

Emma Corrin in MIU MIU ensemble and although I can't get onboard with the socks and kitten heel combo, only Emma can do this.
