Following the jury photocall, Maggie Gyllenhaal and more attended the ''Ink'' premiere and the opening ceremony of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival Venice Italy on Wednesday(September 2nd). The opening also celebrated the Golden Lion For Lifetime Achievement Award To George Clooney.
Laura Dern wore head to toe PRADA which featured a pink cap sleeve satin dress and black slingback logo pumps. The pink adds softness to the silhouette while the satin naturally catches the light, making the pink hue feel rich and luminous. However, it's the pink diamond necklace that does the heavy lifting here, adding the right amount of sparkle. But, I wish that head styling complimented it and even though the black pumps work, I feel like she should have worn silver.
Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a CELINE black long sleeveless dress, but her look is so forgettable. A black dress could be timeless, and elegant while making the wearer feel comfortable. However, Maggie's look is not giving that. The fit is off, the dress needed to be hemmed, and a sparkly necklace with a bold lip could have helped her look.
Jack O'Connell wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR SPRING 2027 and this is just bad. I don't know what going around the waist, but the way his shirt is tucked into his pants is unflattering. The long lapel coat is also unflattering on him and seems to warm for the occasion.
Amal Clooney was on-hand to support husband George Clooney. Amal wore a black TOM FORD by H.A. dress. Although, I am not 100% sold on the fabric choice, she served us with effortless elegance with minimal effort. George kept it simple in a black tuxedo as always.
Stella Maxwell and Alessandra Ambrosio wore custom dress by INTIMISSIMI. This is nothing different from they normally wear on the carpet except Alessandra's dress is a bit more covered up.
Nina Dobrev stepped out in a GIORGIO ARMANI PRIVE black strapless dress with bold sparkly sequins and green chiffon draping for an elegant contrast. The two-tone colors together brings drama with twist and she looked pretty.
Madisin Rian always serves us with an elegant look and she did so in GIORGIO ARAMNI PRIVE as well. I do wish the top was in the same fabric as the bottom half, but she manages to pull it off. It moves beautifully, catches the light from every angle, and makes a massive statement without feeling heavy.
