27th Newport Beach Film Festival Variety's '10 Actors To Watch'

On Sunday(October 18th) the 27th annual Newport Beach Film Festival Honors and Variety's 10 Actors to Watch event was held at The Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, California.

Taraji P. Henson struck a pose in a strapless NICOLAS JEBRAN SPRING 2026 COUTURE gown. I think her beauty look was flawless, but the dress is over-designed. I feel like the top half and the bottom half don't work together. Also, I think the fit is off. 

Esme Creed-Miles wore a MIU MIU SPRING 2027 ensemble and I only like the top half of her look and that's all. She’s definitely giving off a cool, it-girl vibe, but her look just has too much going on.  

Inde Navarrette wore an ERDEM SPRING 2027 lilac floral-printed, high-neck dress with a draped, dégradé fringe jacquard skirt. Generally speaking, this dress is a masterclass in texture, romance, and fluid motion. However, I think this dress looks better in motion and on the model. I don't necessarily think is a bad look, I think it's just a combination of the fabric and the print. 

McKenna Grace wore a NICOLE + FELICIA SPRIGN 2027 COUTURE black strapless and silver butterfly embroidery gown. The is a height difference between Mckenna and the model which is why this gown is longer on Mckenna, either way, she looked pretty.

Summer H. Howell wore a JASON WU SPRING 2026 ensemble and it's a shame that the pants weren't tailored properly.
