Sarah Paulson in J. Mendel & Naeem Khan at the FX TCA Winter Press Tour Panel & the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

This weekend Sarah Paulson attended the FX TCA Winter Press Tour Panel and the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards. Check out the breakdown of her looks.

On Saturday(January 16th) she hit the red carpet at the FX TCA Winter Press Tour Panel to promote the new season of 'American Crime' at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, California. She wore a J. MENDEL PRE-FALL 2016 black & white pinstripe ruffle skirt dress. I like this dress with the exception of the two faux flap pocket detail on the bust. Utilizing the pockets, she topped off her look with MANOLO BLAHNIK black ankle strap pumps, JENNIFER MEYER jewelry and a bold orange pout.

Yesterday evening(January 17th) she attended the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. For this occasion, she wore a NAEEM KHAN PRE-FALL 2016 silver sequin dress with satin trim on the neckline and sleeves. Instead of wearing a simple silver sandal, Sarah opted from silver satin BRIAN ATWOOD pumps. Beauty wise she went with a pinned back, quiff hairstyle and a pink lip. A silver metallic snakeskin clutch and KWIAT jewelry completed her look.

Which of Sarah's look do you favor?

Saoirse Ronan in Laura Basci & Antonio Berardi at the 'Brooklyn' NYC Screening & the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

Saoirse Ronan continues to promote her film 'Brooklyn' as she attended a screening this weekend along with the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards.

On Friday(January 15) she attended the "Brooklyn" screening at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Rocking a chic & sophisticated ensemble, she wore a LAURA BASCI sheer white long sleeve dotted top with a camisole underneath & a tie neck and black trousers. It was Saoirse accessories for me that elevated her look which featured DAVID WEBB jewelry and colorful sequin slingback LOUBOUTIN pumps. Light make-up and pulled back locks completed her look.

Yesterday evening(January 17th) she attended the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. She wore a pale blue ANTONIO BERARDI column dress with embellished shoulders and a cape back. I like the elegant, delicate nature of her look which was kept  by the details. Beauty wise, she went with a shimmery gold eye, a shiny lip and a half up half down hairstyle. STEPHEN WEBSTER jewelry & BRIAN ATWOOD heels completed her look.

What do you think of Saoirse looks?

Alicia Vikander in Mary Katrantzou at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

Alicia Vikander walked away a winner last night for 'Best Supporting' actress at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards which was held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

She hit the blue carpet in a MARY KATRANTZOU SPRING 2016 heavily embellished sheer gown with chiffon side panels. Her custom Bespoke gown hit the runway in a very similar shorter version.

I like the statement appeal of her gown which made an better impact than her globes look. However I am glad that she went with an up-do to compliment her detailed gown but I do find this style to be on the matronly side. Small drop earrings and a muted lip color topped off her look. What do you think of Alicia's look?

Gina Rodriguez in Safiyaa at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

Gina Rodriguez worked her frame yesterday evening on the carpet at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

She stood out on the carpet in the SAFIYAA SPRING 2016 'Venturi' tangerine v-neck which she accessorized with PASQUALE BRUNI jewelry and GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI heels.

For a color balance, a red lip was added to her beauty look. A simple pinned up-do with tendrils topped off her look. Gina overall look feels a bit too orange but I like the color. Are you feeling Gina's bold look?

Portia Doubleday in Novis at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

I know many were hoping that the sheer trend stayed in 2015 but it has carried over to 2016. Portia Doubleday was on tune with the blue carpet yesterday evening at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

The 'Mr. Robot' actress wore a NOVIS SPRING 2016 sheer long sleeve black mesh and navy, orange & light blue floral embroidered dress with a black bra & high waist briefs underneath.

Beauty wise, she went with a braided up-do and dewy make-up look. The FARBOD BARSUM 'Sophia' navy lizard clutch, BIONDA CASTAN sandals and silver rings topped off her look. Are you feeling Portia's sheer mesh look?

Zoe Kazan in Oscar de la Renta at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

On hand to support boyfriend Paul Dano, Zoe Kazan hit the blue hit the blue carpet at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

She wore an OSCAR DE LA RENTA PRE-FALL 2016 strapless color-block dress which featured a pink sequin embellished top with a dark burgundy back embellished panel and a red floral jacquard-embroidered long skirt with a sheer underlay.

Zoe's dress was featured with a belt in the look book version and she opted not to wear it. However I wish she kept it because it added balance and she definitely needed it. Zoe is never one to switch up her hairstyle but I would have loved to see her with something better her. A pink lip and a CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA beaded clutch finished up her look. Are you missing the belt as well?

Jennifer Aniston in Saint Laurent at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

For the most part, Jennifer Aniston hits the carpet, you can count on her wearing all black. However she tends to switch things up once in a blue moon to shock us. Last night she was on hand at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

She wore a pale blue SAINT LAURENT SPRING 2016 center front split silk-chiffon dress with a tier draped neckline.

I can appreciate any of Jen's look when it's not black but it's still not an exciting look. Jen is never one to switch up her beauty look, however I wish she did on this occasion. JIMMY CHOO sandals and silver jewelry completed her look.

Krysten Ritter in Zuhair Murad Couture at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

Krysten Ritter is enjoying the success of her new show 'Jessica Jones' on Netflix. Yesterday evening she attended the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

She hit the blue carpet in a ZUHAIR MURAD FALL 2015 COUTURE wine beaded and sequin pleated gown with an double-v neckline.

I love the rich hue of this dress which looked beautiful on Krysten. To compliment her look, she went with a soft pink lip color which was offset with a nude shimmery eye. H. STERN jewelry, a JIMMY CHOO clutch and STUART WEITZMAN heels topped off her look.

Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab Couture at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

Last night Rachel McAdams hit the blue carpet at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

She wore a ELIE SAAB FALL 2015 COUTURE burgundy beaded and woven mesh gown with gold chain straps, a gold chain & velvet panel belt and a open back.

This is different from the designer's signature sheer beaded or lace gowns and love this hue which has been popping up a lot on the carpet. Rachel was beautiful indeed but the look didn't excite. GRAZIELA GEMS earrings, a side parted bob and a matching lip topped off her look.

January Jones in Altuzarra at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

Following her attendance at the FOX party, January Jones hit the blue carpet at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar yesterday evening in Santa Monica, California.

Rocking a summery look, she wore a ALTUZARRA SPRING 2016 light blue beaded embroidered v-neck dress with a sheer side split skirt. January's dress was altered from the runway version which was sheer from the thigh down.

Her altered version worked and I thought she pulled off the look. However the dress looks a bit tight in the bust but still a great look for the occasion. BIONDA CASTANA sandals, a metallic eye and a complimentary up-do completed her look. Which version do you prefer, January's or the runway's?

Mary J. Blige in J. Mendel at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

On hand as a presenter, Mary J. Blige attended at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards last night at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

She hit the blue carpet in a J. MENDEL RESORT 2016 black long billowy sleeve pleated silk-chiffon dress with a cut-out waist, cold shoulders, beaded trims, a long key hole detail and a center front split.

You can't tell from a distance but Mary's key hole detail features a mesh panel which thankfully isn't visible. I myself, prefer the look book version color but the top part of the dress isn't doing her any favors. Beauty wise, she went with a short bob with bangs, a black clutch and emerald stone statement jewelry.

Kirsten Dunst in Chanel Couture at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards

Walking away a winner for 'Best Actress' in Movie/Limited Series for 'Fargo', Kirsten Dunst attended the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards at Barker Hangar yesterday evening in Santa Monica, California.

She hit the blue carpet wearing a CHANEL FALL 2015 COUTURE nude sheer beaded cap sleeve tier dress with a back split. Her skirt was layered on the runway but Kirsten lined hers for the occasion.

However I prefer the unlined version which added a modest flirty appeal to the dress. Also the ROGER VIVIER shoes are uninspiring, a simple ankle strap sandal would have worked better. For balance a red lip was added to her beauty look which was topped off with FRED LEIGHTON jewelry What do you think of Kirsten's look?

Emmy Rossum wore a CHRISTIAN DIOR black dress that featured a split detail with a silver sequin panel. Beauty wise, she went with a gold shimmer eye which was offset with a soft pink lip and a slick side parted ponytail. Silver accessories completed her great.

Helen Mirren wore a white & black floral & lace DOLCE & GABBANA long sleeve chiffon pleated v-neck gown which she accessorized with a silver jewelry and a white fur embellished clutch. A colored lip and her signature short hairdo finished up her look.

Aya Cash ditched the idea of wearing a dress for a black SANDRO satin lapel tuxedo with a black velvet bow tie. For a touch of color, she accessorized with small emerald drop earrings. I like Aya's look which was topped off with side parted curls, a black clutch & black & gold toe cap pumps.
